Grandsire of 2023 and 2024 CNASF Supreme, also both male and female Supremes at the second Show that weekend ALPACA Spring Show ( Currently the largest Show in Canada. UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart we are announcing that this Great Macho, Producer of so many Supremes and Champion Son, daughters, and grand offspring has passed away today Sept 11th, 2023. He was the poster child of perfection, in every way. We are very Proud to announce, as of April 08th, 2022, that Foundation was crowned again winning the Sires Cup, giving him the title for the last 2 CNASF Supreme Champion Alpaca's. How many Farms will poste pictures of what their Herd Sires look like at 16 years of age? He is by far the best alpaca investment we have made since getting into alpacas. We were exposed to him when we seen his first offspring displayed at the CNASF by Foxwood Alpacas. It was obvious that their sire was Producing outstanding animals, that had fleece lengths and Presence that was unmatched. So, the path started to get those genetics and when the opportunity came up to buy him we jumped on it. He produces extreme density, fleece lengths, with consistency and longevity. His progeny have solid frames, calm personalities and very showy. He has produced many Champions and Supremes, in both fleece and showring, and all other side attractions, Canada and the USA. He is well recognized for his progeny accomplishments and the quality he produces. He has produced Champions in all classes and in 2019 at the Canadian National Alpaca Futurity produced the Grand Champion alpaca in 4 of the 5 classes and Reserve Champion in the 5th. For a bonus the Judge was the World recognized and highly acclaimed Arturo Pena. His daughter at almost 3 yrs of age Birchleaf Kanita (Brown) went on to win Supreme Alpaca. It was the1st time ever won by a brown alpaca. These accomplishments have never happened before at the CNASF, and shows the prepotency of this male. He was one of a kind and true impact Sire, Some may make this claim about their Sires, but Foundation has proven time and time again ;)

Layla is a fibre machine, that was bred for fineness and retained staple length. Her family tree consists of some animals that are known to have and pass on these traits, like PPeruvian Vengador, CPeruvian Rafael, Peruvian Hemingway, Dominion Sire, DLA Peruvian Pastoro, and Snowmass Brave heart, add in CPeruvian Aldo and Accoyo PPeruvian Victor for Density and you can see the picture. Her first years histogram was 16.3, 4.0, 24.5, and 0.8 0ver 30 micr. She has produced some extraordinary offspring, one being Birchleaf Stand Alone, who won supreme champion as a juvenile at her first show The Spring ALPACA show and was sold after To Dee owner of Salt Creek Alpacas. She had a great show career in the US winning 3 championships and a best in show as a yearling. We now have two of her male offspring, Birchleaf Last Stand, and Stand Bye that are Fine specimens for any breeding program. They are Large males that have an abundance of fibre. Layla produced another stellar male in 2022 from Ziba. This young male we called Birchleaf Stand To Rule. Very fitting, as U will see as he matures and shows.

Description

Last Stand is producing some stellar offspring. Shear weight 2023 15.8 lbs sheared at Dreamin Alpacas Shear weight 2022 - 12.4 lbs - 4 in relaxed staple - 5.24 lbs. skirted blanket. Here is a smooth fleeced boy, Guard hair is basically non existent. His fleece is so even from front to back to belly and slight difference up the neck. Strong athletic body and outstanding head and top knot. This combination of Foundation and Layla pumps out elite offspring. He was held back from the showring because of the the plandemic, but when the chance arises, he will be there. His Full sister Birchleaf Stand Alone Won Supreme Champion female at the ALPACA spring show and then went across the border to Salt Creek Alpacas ( Hi Dee :) where she was shown as a yearling, winning 3 Championships and a Judges Choice Female, in large shows against top breeders. If his full brother Birchleaf Stand Bye sells, we will be retaining him. Last Stand has successfully settled in 2021 at 2 years of age. We bred him to Birchleaf Zena, showing the confidence we have in his ability. Zena had a stunning little male cria that unfortunately died at 1.5 months old. We have used him again in 2022 to a couple females as we are using Ziba, whenever possible on our whites and Over The Top on our colored females.
