His fiber is beautifully fine and uniform. Great density, and luscious handle. His EPDs for 2022 are in the top 1% or 5% for nearly every trait. Great conformation, great fiber, and on top of it all, Astor is super friendly and easy to work with! We sheared Astor in 2017, and then he joined our show string. Wow. A genetic dream! Without exception, Pucara Puresuri Tikanui and Puddle's Dixie produce stellar results. They started with Zen in 2015... a fabulous multi-champion male who took Judges Choice at the 2017 MOPACA and Futurity shows. Then came Venus in 2016. Venus, also a multi-champion, who was awarded Supreme Champion at the 2018 National Show. Jupiter was born in 2017, and we are as thrilled with her as were with her full siblings. Jupiter has excellent coverage, beautiful fine locks, and outstanding conformation. To top it off, she has the same gentle nature as her sire and her siblings. Tikanui was not shown until he was a yearling, yet became a multi-champion. He has taken 13 first place awards in Get of Sire. He is consistently in the top 1% of EPDs. He has been Futurity Herdsire of the Year in 2015, 2017, and 2018. Dixie, also a multi-champion, has twice taken first place in Produce of Dam. At 13 years old Dixie remains in the top 10% EPDs for Standard Deviation and the top 1% for staple length and fleece weight.

Callisto is the first offspring of two of our top animals: Jupiter, a Tikanui and Dixie daughter, and Astor, a son of Pines Edge Accoyo Andretti, (Our Accoyo Pulitzer) and Kahuna's Makani. Like his parents, Callisto is an excellent specimen of the Suri alpaca, with the hallmarks of luster, cool handle, and beautiful locking. Callisto stands tall and proud, is easy to handle, and has fiber with superb luster and lock. He brings forth the best from both parents.and would make his ancestors proud. He was classified during our most recent SHIP classification, and received excellent review, with perfect scores in phenotype, lock structure, handle and more. Callisto has had an enviable show career, racking up 14 blue ribbons plus a combined six championships, reserve championships, and judges choice awards. Like his sire, Callisto was awarded a judges choice award as a previously shorn animal. Comments from judges have included: "very well built, great conformation, great luster, 'very proud', uniform fleece, great density, wonderful structure to fiber".
