Velvet Challenge comes to us from Happy Hounds Ranch on West Coast. We became interested in him for our color breeding program because we were really happy seeing what his sire, Velvet Touche produces in color. This boy is a champion in the show ring and has an outstanding fleece. He produces a strong, dense staple that has an outstanding brightness and uniformity. He is a robust male with a very strong and conformationally perfect frame. We have bred him to the majority of our dark females this summer and fall and we are very excited for his 2019 cria. Velvet Challenge is a solid producing male on our farm. He has produced well over twenty cria on the farm. He primarily produces fawn and brown. His crias are well sized with good conformation and phenotype. Several of his cria have also been banner winners in the show ring. Some of these winners include Buck Brook's Velvet Flare, who is now a herdsire in Canada. Velvetina who is on the farm and bred to Zagato's Zephrite and most recently Loki's Challenge at DL Farms in Canada. Loki's Challenge took Grand Champion and Judge's Choice in the fleece category at the most recent Navan Fair Fleece Show. Velvet as we call has a nice temperament and is easy to handle and breed. We have been blessed with plenty of his Velvet Touche genetics on the farm, which was our goal, so we are now offering him for sale. He has many good breeding years left. He is priced to sell, and we can offer fleece samples and more information. A great male at a great price! Retired! This is a true foundation female for any herd! Following Up is the full sister to Futurity Fawn Reserve Champion, MFI Peruvian Formula 1! She has an amazing phenotype, which I highly regard, and an incredible fleece at almost 6 years old. Following Up has an absolutely amazing fawn female at her side sired by MFI Peruvian Candy Man. Her cria is extremely bright, fine, crimpy, and expressing amazing density at 6 months old. This combination of the Jericho line and the Titan line has proven to be successful, so let the next success be yours! This female has went on to be a champion and judge's choice winner. Following up had a full brother to Fabulicity, King Kandy this summer. He is a robust male with a long uniform staple and wonderful hand.

Zephrite is an exceptional male out of multi-champion and Futurity Champion, Sunset Hill's Zagato. He has impressive upright bone structure and conformation. Very long, bright and uniform fleece. He concluded his show career with a Judges Choice, 3 championships and and 7 reserve championships. Zephrite's first crop of crias, hit the ground, Summer of 2022. They are outstanding! He is throwing all colors in his offspring including grey. Several of his crias will be in our Spring 2023 show string. Please come take a look! Zephrites offspring have taken championships in all colors including Roan. It is a very impressive line-up. His fleece continues to be fine with tons of architecture as he ages. In November 2024, Thunder owned by Shepard's Creek alpacas took all three judges choice home at the Empire Showtacular. Zephrite is now co-owned with TeaBerry Alpaca Farm in Catawba,VA.
