Dumbledore has great conformation, a beautiful head, and stands proudly. Why wouldn't he with all of the great males he has in his genetics...Torbio, Torbio's Masterpiece, Inca, Macgyver, and his sire Chesnimitz. In fact, he looks and stands a lot like his great-grandfather Torbio! He has those beautiful ropy locks, consistent locks throughout the fleece, good fineness, great separation, and awesome luster. Babette is a tall, statuesque alpaca and she stands with the same proud stance as her sire, Saladin. No other way to describe Babette except to say she is a very tall and strong girl. She is full Peruvian as Saladin's dam and sire were both imports and her dam, Sasha, was also a Peruvian import. When her fiber was sorted by a certified sorter in 2014 it was given high marks for its luster and locks that are easily processed. If you look at her fiber numbers from the 2016 EPD testing, they are not the best and some might say she is the not the best foundation female for those reasons alone. We say she produces alpacas that are better than her and that's what a production female is supposed to do, produce an alpaca better than the dam. Therefore, she is a good production female. Here's proof to that claim. The beige cria she had in August 2014 out of PVA Kobe's Emissary, Luna, has stunning luster. Luna also has better fineness, better micron standard deviation, better density, better fleece weight, and better staple regrowth of staple length than Babette (see below). She kept the great lock for fiber processing. This shows Babette produces and will give you a cria better than her. The 2016 cria out of our Torbio's Dumbledore looks to better than Babette, too. Babette is doing a great job of taking the best of the sire she's bred to and passing those characteristics on to her crias and those crias are very big and strong like their dam. She adds size to your herd, too! So we claim that she's really a very good foundation female since she has that ability to breed up. Think of getting that cria that will be born next year out of Bojack!!
