Alberta Rose’s Chananza was a multiple Champion herdsire we acquired in 2015. He was heavily used in our breeding program for 2 years before passing away on February 14th, 2019. A Supreme Champion in his own right, his progeny inherited positive traits that allowed them to win many awards in return and a Get of Sire title. The Chananza daughters in our breeding programs, notably Dame Allure du DNA and Dame Auréo du DNA, have been gamechangers with their offspring. For that, we are forever grateful to have had the chance to own Chananza has one of our herdsires. Grandcrias of Chananza are still winning great awards in the showings. In our program, his granddaughters Miss Andean Shadow du DNA and Miss Andean Sunrise du DNA cumulated several championships titles and a specialty award for Best Brightness, while in Western Canada, his granddaughter Kalhua of Aurora was awarded Supreme Champion at the Alpaca Spring Show 2022. These 3 multi-champion females share somethings else in common: on their paternal side, they are granddaughters of Xanadu P. Resolute. A winning combination.

When you take a first glance at Audiny, you may think that she is just another normal pattern female, but this female is way more than that : she is one of our very best producers! Yes, Audiny has spots on her face and a black neck, we were hesitant whether we chose breed her or not but this female can produce colour uniformity. Bred to Chananza, she had a carbon-copy daughter, Auréo. When these two girls are bred to Magnus, we are in awe seeing the quality of their offspring year after year. No more spots, fineness, density, uniformity, amazing conformation, staple length, crimp and shine! In the show ring, the judges always said that if it wasn't of her spots, she would have been the first-place winner in her class. Audiny has a good conformation with a straight topline and perfect bite. Her fleece has good fineness, length and crimp. Her first cria Auréo received the same comments as her dam in the show ring. She is an amazing producer, throwing a white male and a black female with Magnus. Audiny's second cria was a white male sired by Aristo Danton that we rapidly sold. Her third cria is Amilton, sired by our 6x champion Magnus. Amilton's AFD is 16.9 microns. We love everything about this young male and we believe that he can have a great future as a herdsire! We thought that Amilton was amazing, wait until you see her 4th cria! Anita is more than what we could ever imagine Audiny can give us, WOW! Magnus has done so much for us! He has been a cornerstone in our breeding program, improving every female he was bred to and producing Champions like no other males to date did for us. 6x Champion and 2x Best in Show – both in fleece and halter – Magnus is quite the package. In fleece show, he scored 89/100. Not to shabby in my opinion! He is a solid and stunning macho. His fleece is incredibly dense, shiny and well defined. His sire is Xanadu P Resolute, a male that made a tremendous impact in the Eastern Canadian industry. His dam is a Cimmaron Gold Legend daughter that produced 4x Supreme Champion Averegan’s Merida. Magnus shares almost the exact genetics as 7x Black Champion Averegan’s Aftershock, another Resolute x Cimmaron Gold Legend cross. The best way to judge the potential of a herdsire is by his progeny, and frankly Magnus did deliver. His progeny has great well-built conformations with solid bones and dispositions. Fleece-wise, they are all an improved version of their dams’ fleece. Producing crias from white to black and grey that are having fleeces as fine as 14.2 microns (Anrhumé – WH) with outstanding staple length and fleece weight, add to that crimp from skin to tip and great shine. His very first cria, Nyla of Peterboro, won the Combined Brown Colour Champion title in Fall 2019. Since then, Magnus has produced Champions in every colour, from white to black and grey. In fleece shows, his progeny reached up to 86.5/100 and culminated titles of "Judge's Choice", “Best Crimp” and “Best Brightness”! His black daughter, Miss Andean Shadow du DNA, is a 4x Champion that scored up to 79/100 – a score rarely given to blacks in Canada. As a bonus, our first generation of Magnus daughters are now producing Champions!
