Grey Alpaca Judge Diana Timmerman, at the MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show in 2015, opened Superman’s fleece and commented, “That makes me want to sing!”. Superman’s fleece is very bright, lustrous, and from skin to tip his fleece is just wow! Absolutely gorgeous! His fleece certainly has character with that ‘wow’ factor. It's very eye catching! Superman went on to win the Grey Color Championship. Next he was brought into the ring for Judge’s Choice. Superman was immediately pulled out of the line as well as one other male, Red Granites Val D Lsere. The judges frequently went back and forth, examining both of their fleeces very carefully, and after a long anticipating wait, Val D Lsere was chosen to win Judge’s Choice. Though it was disappointing that Superman didn’t win Judge’s Choice we couldn’t be happier that it took the judges as long as it did for them to decide on a winner. For those who don’t know who Val D Lsere is he is a 27x Champion and 16x Judge’s Choice winner. So for Superman to be side by side with this magnificent male, competing for Judge’s Choice, it was a very big deal! We are very proud of Superman! His sire, Challenger’s Rocket Man, still remains tried and tested! He is an incredible award winning male with 7 Champions, 11 First Places, plus he won the 2009 Futurity Champion. He is still producing great offspring. His grandsire, 382 Peruvian Zephyrus, is one of Sunset Hills Farm Alpacas top herdsires! An 8x Color Champion male who has produced several Champion offspring in almost every color. His other grandsire, Legend's Challenger of KPR, is a 7x Champion with over 200 cria. He is known for his fine long grey fleece, an attribute he passes along to his offspring. It truly has the look and feel of many superior white fleeces. His great grandsire, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, is a full Accoyo male with a history of passing on his fine-fibered genetics to his 406 offspring. Consistent show winners and high sellers, his progeny boast 108 known champions and 329 blue ribbons in every solid color group. Hand selected by the late Dr. Jim Vickers, Royal Fawn is the only light fawn Accoyo ever exported from Don Julio Barreda’s herd. According to Julio Barreda, Royal Fawn ranked as one better than he had ever produced at Estancia Accoyo in Peru. Notable genetics also include the following: PPeruvian Felix, PPPeruvian El Moustachio, 5Peruvian Royal Inca Legend, PPeruivan Camilio & Macintosh ALOA. If you want fleece that has that 'Wow' factor then Fun in the Country's Superman is your male! For more information regarding this animal please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Superb Female!

Tierra's Lilli Rose

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31724944DOB: 6/19/200915 yrs
Tierra's Lilli Rose is proud and beautiful. When she was born, she was clearly NOT gray, but by the time of her first shearing, she was most definitely gray. And her fleece is stunning! She has a beautiful, bright, uniformly crimped fleece that is fine and so dense it is packed on her. She has coverage from head to toe and is as sweet as she can be! With the degree of brightness and the white fibers throughout, she has an almost metallic shimmer. Between her fleece, her conformation and her genetics you can easily see why Lilli Rose is a part of our Foundation herd! Lilli Rose's 2019 Histogram has some impressive results at 10 years of age: MFD - 18.8, SD - 4.1, CV - 21.5%, Fibers >30 - 1.3%, SF - 18.4. Lilli Rose gave us a stunning silver grey male! 6x Champion Fun in the Country's Liquid Silver! Notable genetics include the following: Dom Lucilio, Crescent Moon’s Rayo Del Sol, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, PPPeruvian El Moustachio, & Crescent Moon's Touchet.
