Mr Alejandro is truly something special. He is ultra fine in black and retaining the numbers through the years. At 5 years of age, he is still producing fleece as fine as the juveniles. He is consistent both in the staple and across the blanket, down the hip, and up into the neck. Alejandro has a true macho look to him with loads of fleece packed all over his frame. This fleece is possibly the brights black fleece I have come across. Alejandro has extensive black and grey genetics that make him perfect for a dark breeding program. Alejandro's cria have started to hit the ground and they are stellar! After his first three cria, both Penny and I decided to breed most of our herd to Alejandro. In the 2017 breeding year, Alejandro will be bred to approximately 80% of the females on our farm. We have access to a lot of solid studs but truly believe in what Alejandro can do! Alejandro's first histogram at 8 1/2 months old is AFD 16.6 SD 3.5 CV 20 % OVER 30 0.6.....I was thrilled to see this kind of fineness and consistency in a black fleece. Co-owned with Penny Holbrook of Black Hill's Alpacas.

HERITAGE STUD FEMALE Shiny silky True Black girl from Giselle's DRG Silver Fox's Finale one of our most productive females. Granddam is black and Royal Bronze and Snowmass Nova are in her background so we weren't surprised to get a black of this quality out of this breeding. Very bright fleece with no white fibers and long staple length from her dam who is in the Top 1% EPD for SL. Since Running Late had gone back to Colorado she decided to breed her to our own Matrix Magic who also has black in his pedigree. We are trying to achieve fineness with a tighter crimp here in dark color. Still sporting a pretty fine fleece for a black her exceptional staple length helped her shear one of the densest fleeces on our farm in 2017. Myst and Magic delivered what we were hoping for in a Dark Fawn very dense bright and crimpy fleeced male named Simply Outrageous. He inherited his dam's exceptionally long staple length which the judges commented on, as well as his very soft hand. Both judges said he was one to watch in his second fleece. Myst was bred to black Bandito son Mr Alejandro from Black Hills Alpacas. Thanks Penny and Cody. One of the most anticipated cria of 2019, she delivered another very stylish male who is the color of charcoal, he may develop into dark silver grey. 2020 a fine long stapled fawn male.(SOLD) She is rebred to LOVERS LEGACY to see how much color we can push from him. He has not previously been bred to black but has produced dark brown out of brown. Exciting breeding! Lover delivers! Myst had a MF female who Giselle will be selling. SOLD A breeding to TB Enchanted’s Midnight Majesty produced a 2022 TB lovely girl Cinders. She may be on our sales list next summer Rebred to Snowmass Lovers Legacy she gave us a MF girl we will be keeping.

Description

We had two DSG males and although we don't usually breed for grey, both were out of two true black parents and both are exceptional and mostly unrelated to our dark herd. Silver Promise is by the successful herdsire Mr Alejandro and our Black Myst, with deep Silver Grey genetics. Fine DSG fleece with very long staple, a full coverage with beautiful head. We will reserve 3 breedings.Unfortunately he will not be used here as he competes with other dark males here so we are offering him for sale.
