Buddha is our up and coming herdsire and boy are we excited! When we chose the breeding of Buddha's dam Ice's Sugar Shack (a Snowmass Ice Dancer daughter) to the one and only Pucara Kahuna (Light Herdsire of the year 2009/2010/2011) we were pretty excited as we knew Kahuna would stamp his classic fleece and conformation traits on this cria, and we were right! Buddha was simply beautiful as a Juvie with the classic Kahuna head, fleece coverage down to his toes and blinding luster. Buddha did very well at the 2 very competitive shows we entered him in last year and wished we could have entered him in more shows in 2012, but time did not allow, however we did show him at the CABA Classic where he took a respectable 3rd behind Pucara International. Now that he's been sheared, boy are we thrilled at how his fleece is growing in, great locking, beautiful luster and fineness throughout...he looks incredible and he knows it! UPDATE: In 2015, Buddha gave us a beautiful little girl Shalamar who took 1st at the 2016 CABA Classic. We had her biopsied and she has a density of 75.25...WOW! Sadly, we lost Buddha in December of 2018. Description

Shalamar is the first of only two offspring from our late herdsire Aqua Buddha, one of our last Kahuna sons. We chose to breed Buddha to Cinnamon Girl (light fawn) who has a color background to see what this genetic cross would produced and we were thrilled with the outcome! Shalamar has her daddy's beautiful locking and luster with an elegant frame with a calm demeanor. Shalamar was bred to Big Timber's Kristoff (a Locke son) and this pairing created an adorable girl we named Veruca Salt. Shalamar is a wonderful first time mom, plenty of milk, no birthing issues and very attentive to her cria. She was biopsied in 2018 and we are very happy with the results. Biopsied at 37 months. Adjusted density is 75.25 follicles SQ MM of skin. Typical fiber clusters show an average S/P of 12.9 to 1. Level 2 of 4 gland presence. 100 secondary fibers average 21.8 microns and 50 primary fibers average 31.7 microns for a spread of 9.9 microns.
