UPDATE 5/19/20: I love this guy - large commanding presence, but very easy to handle. Loves strutting his stuff while being lead (he shows off for the ladies). Fluffy teddy-bear ears - awesome staple length. BUT - we just reduced our "big boy" herd to 3, with the intent to add in the up-and-coming 2 year olds to that pen, but it's gone to Shinook's head. He's beating up on the two other males. He was fine when it was five of them, but in this smaller group he has decided he needs to be in charge. Nook needs a larger group of guys his own size (150-200 lb). Soft Shinook is a large (i.e., LARGE) beige boy out of White Zephyr I (Royal Fawn son) and Soft Sable (HDF Accoyo Lincoln daughter). He has a large fawn spot on his face, and a smaller dark fawn spot near the ears. He does have a white face. He has produced a solid medium fawn and two ligher fading fawns. Nook boasts Royal Fawn, Pperuvian Leon, El Moustachio, HDF Accoyo Lincoln, and Peruvian Botin. Biggest in his juvie class (and one of the youngest) at WiAFF 2015. Not as dense as those placed ahead of him, and crooked front legs, but consistent crimp across body and great luster. Judge Amanda Vandenbosch commented the crooked front legs might be due to his large size, because the back legs are perfect. 2015 American Alpaca Showcase, even with his topknot full of fresh green spit and his blanket the color of 'dirt' rather than beige, Shinook took 3rd of 6. Judge Jude Anderson loved his commanding presence, his robustness, and the composition (was that the word she used?) of his fleece. Nook is TALL. He can place his chin on the top of a 4 foot gate, whereas the other boys look under the top rung. He has great staple length, a luxureous feel, great luster, and a bold architecture to his fleece. Could be denser. He has a very upright stance. Nook's offspring are inheriting his size, staple length, and easy-going demeanor.

ELK Fantasy Lady is the daughter of Double "O" Good Herdsire Hall of Fame male, ELK Hercules. Like her father she has his regal presence and stature. She has excellent conformation and bite. Her blanket is dense, but admittedly lacking in crimp and bundling at this age. If you are looking for a solid foundation female, look no further. She has truely been a great mother, feeding her cria well (she could be a dairy cow) and passing on her calm demeanor and good fleece density. Lady is a fading medium to dark fawn with grey coloration on her muzzle. She has a tendency to throw the color of the sire. She should be bred for fineness and increased staple length. Lady had a dark fawn female with white underbelly "Mirage," June 3, 2017, by 3/4 Accoyo Heatwave, making the baby 3/8 Accoyo, 3/4 Peruvian. Density, architecture and length of the fleece looks awesome. Mirage was placed in the "brown females" group for the Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest and took 4th - not too shabby. Not as much staple length and density as those above her. June 24, 2018, again Lady did not disappoint. Another girl, we named "Fantasma". This one, a dusty medium fawn with no white. She is Soft Shinook's first offspring - and we will definately be using him again this year. Royal Fawn was know for extreme brightness and shine and it seems to have come through to this great-grandaughter. June 23, 2019 - another girl! By Shinook again. But this little one is a fading light fawn, with white on her face. Long staple length and growing well (50 pounds at 4 months, 70 at 6 months), nice crimp to the fleece but lacking in density. The light fawn doesn't hold the shine like on darker Fantasma.

This guy's fleece is fine with uniformity of micron and crimp. He is dense with complete coverage. Physically, Silk is straight, strong, healthy with a square frame and large bone structure. He has a gorgeous head and a laid back personality. As Silk ages, his fleece continues to impress with amazing uniformity, bundling crimp, density, and zipper crimp. Silk combines some of the most prepotent genetic lines in the alpaca industry. His sire Snowmass Best In Velvet brings together; Snowmass Velvet Touche, Snowmass Touche, Snowmass Royal Splendor, Snowmass Best in Lace, Snowmass Best Man, Snowmass Royal Lace, Snowmass Invincible, Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass Royal Rose, and Snowmass Royal Bronze. Velvet is a multiple color champion. Silk's dam, Picture Perfect combines; Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah, MFI Peruvian Jericho, Peruvian Honeybelle, High Point Ginger Rice, Dakotia, Inca's Ransom, Snowmass Royal Rose, Royal Peruvian Apollo, and High Point Rubicon.
