Buccaneer is finally retired from showing and loves being a full time stud! We ended his show career on a high note which was due to his fleece is retaining it's amazing quality and retaining it's fineness! Buccaneer also has a powerful frame and that power continues into the fleece. He is also proving his strength in being a breeding male by the high quality offspring he is producing! This is the true black herdsire to check out and with offspring on the ground and winning ribbons and championships in the shows what more could you want! The Buccaneer is definately pleasing us with his offspring as he is passing on his fineness, excellent bone and gorgeous head! He has also been correcting conformation issues which is one of the hardest things to correct. He is simply amazing...we do believe that the reason he is maintaining his fineness is due to his dam, Hana. We did a Histogram on her 2010 fleece, which would make her 10 years old, and it was still holding a 21 micron. Truly Incredible! Buccaneer has one of the best show records for a True Black, with 13 banner (8 of those as an adult) he has proven that he is a top of the line male and now he is proving it again with his offspring! The product of a well planned out breeding from one of FTAF’s best grey girls, Pretty Lady, to their True Black 13X Champion herdsire, SHVN The Buccaneer. The outcome was spectacular. Sebastian has buttery soft fleece with a consistent crimp throughout his blanket, neck and legs. And oh what beautiful coverage! Pretty Lady and Buccaneer both are holding low microns for their age and have passed that on to their offspring. We expect that to hold true for Sebastian, too. His sire, SHVN The Buccaneer is the top herdsire at Full Tilt Alpacas and consistently produces high quality offspring. Buccaneer is a very true black male that has retained his fineness as even at 6 years old he was able to win his 13th championship. Every time he has won in the ring it has been due to his strong frame and the fact that he was finer than the other animals in the class, even those much younger than him. His dam, Pretty Lady, consistently produces exquisite offspring. Although she was never shown, her fleece was entered into many spinoffs and she has always gotten 1st place. Her fleece spun into yarn is absolutely stunning. Sebastian attended his first 2 shows, National Champions 2011 and OABA Alpacafest 2011, and took first place at both shows.
