Painted Black is a wonderful compliment to our lovely herd with his outstanding luster, correct conformation with great bone, density, beautiful lock structure, head to toe coverage, gentle disposition and was luster mentioned? Yes, he is extremely lustrous! With the likes of Accoyos Bruxo and Ganador in his lineage which produced Captain Blackfoot, it is no wonder this male has the luster he presents. What is curious is where his true black coloration came from that he is also able to throw. His Paint Me Black daughter has the same color and luster and is stunning. We are very pleased to have added this Champion female to our foundation herd. Her genetic makeup is from the top lines in the nation with her Peruvian Macgyver and 6Peruvian Rufino grandsires in the mix and both her sire and dam are Champions. Pearls was bred to Painted Black for her 2018 Blue black female Cria that is exactly what we were hoping for and 2020 was another female. We repeated that breeding for her true black 2021 female offspring. Pearls was bred to WLK Jamayo for another black cria in 2022 that is stunning. Jamayo has sired five true black Cria as his first offspring begin arriving. They are amazing and this latest criai s no exception!

We have looked long and carefully for a male that could best improve our small dark suri herd and we believe we found the perfect male. WLK Jamayo was biopsied as a 24 month old true black male with ARI#35572503. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters very uniformin shape and placement within his connective tissue. He grades level 4 of 4 gland presence. Observe his 8 fiber clusters on the S/P scan that show an S/P of 11.0 to 1. 25 fiber clusters show an average S/P of 11.4 to 1. Also note on all scans that 100% of the secondary fibers show a level of medullation. His density is measured at 61 follicles SQ MM of skin. 100 secondary fibers average 18.4 microns and 50 primary fibers average 24.7 microns for a variation of only 6.3 microns. On August 29, 2020 Jamayo’s AFD is figures only18.95 microns. On all scans note the presence of many round secondary fibers which several fiber judges correlate to increase luster.
