[CLOSED] Wolf Den's Dark Secret

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 31620901DOB: 8/10/200915 yrs
At Autumn Sun Alpacas, we know that is no secret that this true black herdsire is an all-around package that you will want to cover any dam, light or dark colored! Secret is a black that had no fading at his tips or interspersed white fibers when he was showing (he's getting a few 'old man' white hairs now). This isn't surprising with a lineage that includes notable black sires like Othello, recently deceased, and Snowmass Nova's Dark Quest. With his distinctive head and leg coverage, along with his inky black fiber, many stopped and stared at Secret the ring. And worthy of that attention, his fiber has extreme density, bright shine, bundled crimp, and soft handle. These are traits that you want to add or amplify in your breeding program! This is obvious in the 10x champion true black son, AutumnSun's Black Maelstrom. We were fortunate to have had our program benefit from such an exceptional offspring, especially as he was just one of only a few we have performed to Secret! We have the fortune of several excellent herdsires, including grey and black, so Secret has had to be patient. And, Maelstrom is just as a precocious stud just as his sire, as both started breeding under 2 years old. Father and son both breed black well into our program. As our Secret is getting up there in years and we we don't want to overtax him (he is still breeding for us), we are closing him to outside breedings.

Dam:

AutumnSun's Rising Hope

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 32585995DOB: 9/7/201113 yrs
Hope has the benefit of a matriarchal line of quality fibered females with lasting fineness, long staple, with a nice high frequency crimp style. Even better, this lineage is heavy on the girl production with over 70% female crias by her dam and grandam. Hope's sire is Fossil Ridge's Rumaki -- a Royal Fawn son champion sire of other champion crias. He also compliments the pairing with his lasting fineness, handle, and bundled crimp. Hope has been an easy breeding dam -- taking fast, carrying well, and birthing without complication. Her cria by Secret is her spitting image, which is not surprising since she herself is stamped from the same image as her dam and granddam. Flower is very nicely dense, crimpy, and long stapled with good handle. These qualities are amplification of Hope's qualities! Bred to our Apocalypse son, Orionn, she has produced a lovely white male cria this year. He has a fine, consistent, fine amplitude crimp. He is available separate from his dam.

Service Sire: Jakaila's Oliver Stone

Two-Time First Place Winner!

Jakaila's Oliver Stone

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Rose Grey
AOA# 30957855DOB: 7/17/200717 yrs
Oliver is a handsome dark rose gray grandson of Aussie Rockford, one of the most awarded grays ever produced. His bloodlines also include Peruvian Bueno and PPeruvian Felix. He won two first place and two second place ribbons during his short show career. His coloring is very uniform throughout his fleece, with bundles of crimpy dense fiber. Both Oliver's conformation and bite are perfect. Tough as nails, Oliver lost most of both ears to a dog attack, but perseveres just fine. Healthy, halter trained and an easy keeper - you can't go wrong using this fine male to improve the genetics of your herd! 105290289 Avid Microchip at Base of Left Ear

Description

13x CC Brother, 5x CC Sire! You are 1-degree-from-greatness in all directions in Flower's lineage! Flower has champions in her parentage, her grandparents, her great grandparents, all the way up! She has champion black genetics via her sire, Dark Secret. Her dam's sister has also produced a fantastic champion black sire, Black Maelstrom. It is undeniable that Flower should be bred to a black herdsire. Her 5-time black color champion sire is Wolf Den's Dark Secret, whose 5 generations of black lineage includes the historically pivotal black herdsire Othello as his dam's sire. Just as impressive is Secret's sire, the well known Snowmass Nova's Dark Quest, son of the famous Snowmass Nova -- himself the son of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (another pivotal male that has shaped many farms and breeding programs). That is a line of who's who in black color breeding programs! Her light fawn dam, with black eyeliner and lips, is sired by Fossil Ridge's Rumaki -- a Royal Fawn champion son who also produced the 7-time champion dam Fossil Ridge's Special K. Flower's dam, Rising Hope, has her own lineage of power packed genetics. To give you more COLOR to think about, Special K produced by Secret the 13x BLACK color champion herdsire AutumnSun's Black Maelstrom! Black colors are hidden in Flower's dam's lineage, too! Within her typey frame are the genetics of BLACK color greatness! She gives a peek at her black heritage with her dark eyeliner and lips. With her color potential she should work nicely in any dark color program -- black, grey or even appaloosa (as harlequin-appies often reproduce their looks when bred to dark-based fawns). She is bred for a Fall 2022 cria, and is already sporting a deep round belly! Microchip Info: 840003015027612 ALL-FLEX USDA TAG/MICROCHIP LEFT EAR
