We've all had one of those animals that we hope one day will join our herd. We're excited to say that he finally has! Paiute (pie yoot), is a full Peruvian, 5/8 Accoyo APPALOOSA male. His spotting is well defined and doesn't disappear as fiber length increases. His confirmation is exquisite. He has large bone and a nice, square build. He has a great head and sports a full top knot. Paiute has a perfect bite and is covered in fleece that displays a tight, high frequency crimp. His good looks and exceptional qualities have placed him in blue for both fleece and confirmation. Being handsome isn't his only attribute - he has also proven himself by producing appaloosa as well. He has some big names in his pedigree including PPPeruvian Yupanqui, Q of the Continuum, Peruvian Platinum, and PPPeruvian Caligula. Let's not forget his SPOTTED mom, Incan Samantha! Aiko was a beautiful, medium rose grey harlequin. She had a great staple with loads of soft, bright fiber - not to mention, she was covered in fleece from head to toe. She had great confirmation, and her head was absolutely beautiful. She was the only registered offspring of TGA Mario - a ribbon winning, appaloosa herd sire out of a long line of spots including Senna's Zoey and 6Peruvian Century. Her sire's lineage also included big names like Peruvian Hemingway and 6Peruvian Bruna. Her dam, Zenith's Peruvian Kismit, was a medium fawn girl with some impressive names behind her as well. Her lineage includes PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, Majestado De Peru, 6Peruvian 007, and many more. Aiko was a phenomenal girl - one that we feel privileged to have had as part of our herd. Unfortunately, we lost her due to birthing complications. We are lucky to have 3 of her spotted daughters to carry on her memory in our herd. She was 6 for 6 when it came to spot production - definitely one of those game changing girls in the spotted world. She will be truly missed. How can you not be totally bewitched by this dramatic spotting? Sammie not only has her beautiful beige color covered in rich, deeply contrasted spots, but she also has the fleece quality and conformation to make her the whole package! She produces an extreme staple for her dense, bright fleece. She sports a great structure with a very soft hand. WT Gold's Paiute, one of our multi-blue ribbon winning males stamped Sammie with his elite fleece qualities. He also passed on his appaloosa genetics, which her dam carries as well. Aiko, her mom, is one of our favorite girls on the farm. She is an ultra-compact harlequin appaloosa, who is covered from head to toe in buttery-soft, rose grey fleece. With appaloosa genetics on both sides, Sammie has the potential of being homozygous. We can't wait to see the spots this girl produces in the future!
