Amigo possesses all of the qualities and the pedigree of a herdsire. Very good density, good staple length, bright high frequency crimped fleece with deep amplitude, and fineness with a soft silky hand. In 2021 Amigo ranks in the TOP 5% in EPD’s in 5 categories! categories. It is no wonder when you look at the depth of his pedigree. Grandsires “El Nino”, “Prince Charming”, “PCA Santorini”, great grand sires “Caligula” top and bottom), “Accoyo Elite”, “Legacy”, then add dams like “Sunipani”, “Blanca’s Princess”, and “Chachani”. Grandsire Prince Charming is extremely dense, and at age three as a breeding male, his histogram reads: AFD: 22.5, SD: 3.9, CV: 17.3, %>30: 2.8. NOTE: Amigo was injured when he slipped on the slick concrete floor at a show at the end of his yearling show career severing his ACL. Hatchie is out of multi-blue ribbon winning herdsire, Mr. Butterscotch who has been a producer of Appaloosas/harlequins, and we know Hatchie will one day too. His dam, Aiko, is boxy and true to type with beautiful coverage. She’s a Harlequin girl that stems from a long line of spots (see photo). She’s the only registered offspring out of TGA Mario, who is now deceased. Hatchie is bound to throw spots with so many in his background! We're so excited to have him join our herd. Hatchie will begin his breeding career this fall. Stay tuned this boy is destine to produce some show stoppers for sure!

This little girl is a dense package of the brightest whitest fleece I have on my ranch! The high frequency crimp style bundles into tight micro matchstick bundles. Her fiber at skin just glows so bright! With an incredible sweet face and full coverage head style, she just makes my day! Her paternal lineage is highlighted by Accoyo America Ulysses. Over the years Accoyo America Ulysses has produced some of the finest-fleeced crias ever born on Greg Mecklem’s farm. Even better, they tend to stay both fine and consistent as they age, holding their high character structure as well. Ulysses himself was the Supreme Champion male at IAO as both a three- and five-year old, and his fifth fleece also took Judge’s Choice at the 2007 AOBA fleece show, which speaks to his own fleece’s staying power. For another reference point, consider his son Accoyo America Ajax, – his second fleece carried a micron of 15.3 and SD of 3.0, and shows impeccable structure and excellent density along with extreme brightness. He’s very indicative of what Ulysses produces. Her maternal grandfather Immanuel Cuervo Plateado and great-grandfather MFI Brocki are both still sporting 5 traits in the top 10% at over 12 and 20 years old !! I have high hopes for this one. DEC 2021 UPDATE: Chantillie is now confirmed via ultra sound to be due mid August with her first cria. She is bred to the very handsome champion Sopris Oberle UPDATE JULY 2023 Chantillie just became the mother of a champion !! YES !!! Her son from 2022, Sierra Thunder took TWO champion ribbons at the AOA National Fleece show! One for Most Uniform and the other in his grade ! UPDATE Sept 2023 Chantillie just gave birth to her second cria, a white or light fawn female. Healthy baby so far!! Not sure what i plan to do for a breeding for next year....but she is making beautiful babies !!
