Terrific price for quality!
Shangri-La's Rhapsody in Black
HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 1190960DOB: 9/1/200420 yrs
Check out this 1/2 Peruvian proven female!
Rhapsody's gray and black genetics should put some quality color into your herd, and probably won't stay on the market very long at this price.
We are extremely pleased that Rhapsody has managed to preserve her nice, fine fleece after motherhood! At 8 months, she had a mfd of 24.2, sd of 5.3, cv was 21.9, and 10.3% of her fiber was greater than 30 microns. In 2008, at almost 4 yrs of age, her mfd was 24.8, sd 4.4, cv 17.7, and 9% of her fiber was greater than 30%. Not bad! Not much crimp in this girl, but her cria have reflected how much crimp can improve in one generation.
A dependable breeder, and milker, Rhapsody is also an attentive mother. She would be perfect for a new breeder. Good, solid bone structure, and a well built frame, she carries her pregnancies well, and has been an easy keeper.
She produces black, when bred to black, but, as shown below, is able to throw many colors!
Rhapsody's first cria, a black male out of Aladdin, is a gorgeous jr. herdsire and has won 2 ribbons in halter shows.
A medium brown female, Serenity, born in September, 2009, is also a stunner!
2010's cria was a gray male out of our rose gray herdsire, Red Baron.
September, 2011, Rhapsody gave us another fantastic black male, out of our junior herdsire, Sir Ed.
August 28th, 2012, Rhapsody gave us a beautiful gray female, out of our herdsire, Silver Smoke.
