Unfortunately, we said good-by to 5C's Captain Midnight in April 2023. Necropsy report failed to give us any reason for his untimely death. We are fortunate to have a few of his offspring to carry on his amazing legacy. We knew Captain Midnight was special the minute he was born. We had no idea just HOW special. Captain currently has 18 banners in both halter and fleece. One of those banners is a coveted Judges Choice Fleece. At his very first show Captain was 1st and CC as the youngest entry in his yearling class. 5C's Captain Midnight won Champion and Res. Champion banners for his 2-year old and yearling fleeces at the 2015 AOA Fleece Conference!!!! These placements and that of his little brother Cardiac Arrest earned Cinco C's Alpacas the Classic Breeder's Cup at the Conference. Captain Midnight is one of the Best of our Best. His dam, 5C's Chocotini is one of our highly coveted females. Her fleece is still amazing at 12 years old. She and LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight have shared their best attributes in producing this amazing male. We are extremely proud to have produced this male. His fleece exhibits extreme density, well-defined crimp and an incredible hand, characteristics usually found in only the lightest fleeces. You must get your hands on this fleece to believe it. Captain's crias have arrived and they are stunning. His crias have remarkable fleeces and at this time colors range from TB to LF and include classic grey. Several champion offspring make Captain the real deal. Call to schedule a visit to get your hands on some of them. Captain Midnight is currently at Cinco C's Alpacas. His offspring are truly beautiful. He adds amazing brightness, crimp and density to every cria we have seen. Contact us to schedule your breedings or consider adding one of his beautiful offspring to your breeding program. His daughter 5C's Circe has been chosen as our auction lot for the POC Auction in June 2022. ***** 5C's Captain Booker (TB) and 5C's Captain Cognac (MB) are 2 of Captain Midnight's amazing sons. Both of these outstanding males won Color Championships at the 2021 AOA National Fleece Show. Captain Booker has been sold to Alpakas von Spiegel in Switzerland to stand stud for them. Captain Cognac will remain at Cinco C's Alpacas and has a very busy breeding season for 2022. We are very proud of what Captain Midnight has accomplished for us. Color Genotype Eeaa

If you have visited the farm recently you have, no doubt, met Maggie. She's the best greeter in the herd. (She was until she was bred) Maggie has the show stopping look of her beautiful sire and the beautiful fleece of both parents. Be sure to take a look at her fiber stats. This fleece is one you just don't want to take your hands off. She's the offspring of a black sire and a white dam. Her fiber stats aren't the only impressive thing about Maggie. Her heritage boasts of some pretty impressive staples in the alpaca industry. So her good looks and pleasing personality aren't the only wonderful traits about Maggie. Maggie is shown with her 2020 cria sired by Captain Midnight. We think this little male is pretty exciting. No matter which male we chose for Maggie she consistently produces stunning crias who are like clones of herself. Beautiful fine fleeces and stunning phenotype is what we expect of every cria. Check out MAGnificent and Cavin!. This time we chose Braxton to sire Maggies 2023 cria. See you in September little one......... Color Genotype Ee Aa

Description

This guy is "special". Beautiful fleece and phenotype. He's registered dark fawn, but as he matures we see grey possibilities in his fleece. This fleece is FINE! He didn't do well with weaning so he wasn't a good show prospect this spring, but he certainly will be on our show string in the fall of 2021. He could be on YOUR list. We think this young male will be a great herdsire prospect for someone. He's a Captain Midnight son, so we have his genetics covered here. Come take a look or call for fiber samples.
