Epic Alpacas is pleased to announce the addition of Crescent Moon's Wilkinson to our outstanding lineup of herdsires! Wilkinson is a 10-time Champion and more notably, he's the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! It's no wonder that Wilkinson is such an impressive male. His sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a legend in his own time, winning AOBA Nationals Color Champion in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density of fleece as Jason. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes, and many of his progeny are champions! Wilkinson's dam, Crescent Moon's Forget Me Not, is also a Color Champion in her own right, winning 10 blue ribbons and 4 banners, including 2010 Futurity Grey Female Reserve Color Champion and 2014 CABA Classic 1st Place Produce of Dam. Wilkinson's cria have started arriving here at Epic and we are THRILLED! So much density, so much character, so much grey! His eldest male offspring, Crescent Moon's Subasio, has started making his impact on the show circuit in Fall 2017 with a number of blues and a Reserve Championship at an amazingly competitive double show in Oregon.
Enormous thanks to Scott and Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon for sharing this incredible male with us - we are honored and delighted to be partners with them! Wilkinson is going to make one heck of an impact here and on the future of grey huacaya breeding!

AOA# 32661804DOB: 4/27/201410 yrs
Iron Maiden is a beauty!!! Her sire, American Iron, is an Aussie .38 Special son and a super award winner in his own right. Iron Maiden or Maidy as we like to call her displays a bright, soft and dense fleece, with full coverage on her face and legs. Maidy has excellent conformation and is a good sized girl, yet easy to handle. Her mother is a superb foundation female. In November 2017, Maidy had a beautiful fawn girl, sired by 10x banner winner and 2x National Grey Male Champion, Wilkinson! She's a looker for sure! Her 2019 breeding to Wilkinson cria resulted in another female cria, this time a rose grey! She's everything her older sister was, but in luscious rose grey! What a spunky little female she is, too! She'll grow up to be a knockout for sure.

Description

Mercia has amazingly bright, soft fleece, coupled with some fantastic crimp and architecture! Her first histogram came back and is dazzling with an AFD 16.9 and SD 3.3. In Spring 2019, she showed at the California Classic and showed that her fleece reflected the numbers in her histogram, and was awarded a blue ribbon in walking fleece. Mercia is small for her age so at this time breeding is not an option for her, but she'd make an awesome fiber animal and pet! Mercia currently resides at Bouzos Farms as a part of our brokering program! We are honored to be brokering several alpacas for Epic Alpacas in Cathey's Valley, CA.
