AOA# 32803655DOB: 9/9/201311 yrs
We are very pleased to have Zappa on our farm. Zappa is the full package and we are please with what is seen in his offspring in the abundance of length. Where do we start in describing this guy? His fleece is phenomenal in many ways, uniformity from head to toe in coverage, density, volume, amplitude with heavy crimp and brilliance. His fleece is extremely soft to the touch, you just can not keep your hands out of it. Zappa has the sweetest personality with his human friends and is quite the gentleman with his alpaca ladies. Zappa's First Cria arrive July of 2017 a fabulous male, his fleece is very promising, the brightness in his fleece is impressive. Looking forward to seeing his fleece after shearing in 2018. Zappa has several babies on the ground, two will be ready for breeding this year with Zappa's reputation of producing long staple length, his babies show it. His daughter's have over four inches of growth on them now November of 2020, just had to measure their growth while they in in the breeding pen. Update on Fiber Density results: Data Details: Density, 63.5 / Secondary: Primary fiber ratio 10.6:1 In-skin mean primary fiber diameter 24.5 / Standard deviation 2.8 In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter 21.0 / Standard deviation 2.6 Test comments: The density number is moderate and while the two fiber population averaged, range and uniformity are higher that one would like to see it is important to remember that this male is 79 months of age.... It is generally accepted that working males will tend to move their fleece micron to the higher numbers after 60 months of age and along with that come an increase in standard deviation.

Sacred Mountain Lamosi

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 32044195DOB: 5/30/201212 yrs
Lamosi is a very fine fleeced gal that is uniformly consistent in character thru out her body, we have her bred to Hummingherd's Delassandro, we are sure that he will stamp her with all of his fleece qualities of density, crimp, amplitude, brightness and "Fineness" in her cria. Just look at the fleece stats of this pairing and you will see why we think the cria will be something that will stand out in your herd. The cria out of Delassandro produced a stunning white male Lonan, who is showing promise of his ancestry coming thru in his wondrous fleece the he carries, as his fleece matures confidence is his quality is showing thru. Lamosi is currently bred to Zappa who has produced one outstanding cria to date, this cria is due in the fall of 2018 confidence of a top quality cria is assured. Lamosi is a proven producing female, confident Mom and delivers her cria's effortlessly, she is a nice solid female that would be a great starter for the aspiring breeder. Update: with a breeding to Zappa, Lamosi just produced a very exciting light fawn male that we are calling Topaz. Lamosi is currently being bred back to one of our top male on our farm. Lamosi just delivered her 2019 cria, a stunning white female out of Watson, her fleece is long and tight with wonderful ringlets from head to toe! Lamosi is so reliable she produced a gorgeous female for 2020 out of Akiak, oh and did I say she's black like her sire? We are repeating this paring!!

Description

Topaz has a gentle personality, is easy to handle and enjoys walks and visiting with people. He catches your eye with his coloring and presence; he carries himself straight and square. He has very nice fleece that is uniform in quality and coloring throughout his body, very silky soft handle to his fleece with luster. As he matures we are sure that his fleece character could improve, given his parentage. He has long fleece for his age, which is in character with his sire Zappa whom consistently produces in excess of four inches of growth annually.
