His dam: HEMINGWAY'S NAOMI added pervasive fineness and Elite genetics to our breeding program (including her grandsire the absolute Canadian Champion ROCKAMUNDO, who at 18 months had a 13.6 AFD & 14.5 lbs of pure fiber!!), as well as remarkable density and especially, *lingering fineness*. Even after her 8th shearing, her AFD was 19.5 microns!!!! Her offspring have carried on her fleece characteristics and lingering fineness. Of notable mention is Sovereign Legend's full sister - Daisy-Sunshine, who maintained an impeccable fineness record, showing histograms of: 16.9 (year 1); 16.3 (year 2); 16.5 (year 3); 16.0 (year 4); 15.0 (year 5)!! We are excited to add Lunes to our breeding program. Violet's sire is the one and only INCAN MAGIC, who is the premier Gray Herdsire of the North American Alpaca Stud, and is owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Alpacas, who holds him exclusively with limited outside breedings. With the fiber density and ultra fine fleece he inherited from his dam, 4Peruvian Amanda (who in 2006, at the age of 15, had an AFD <17!!), Magic has traits that are often sorely missing in this color category. Violet's dam-SNOWMASS ZIMA consistently throws award-winning cria, & though she may be white, she is a hidden treasure of color genetics, with her parents being Medium Rose Grey/White and True Black. True to her genes, Zima has thrown mostly Blacks, Silver Greys, & Rose Greys. Lunes' sire -- 1/2 Accoyo RIVANNA STORMY MONDAY is no less.
