Chief's paternal grandsire is Danko 532, a multiple award-winning Grey champion stud from Alpacas de la Patagonia who is well-known in the alpaca world for throwing champions of all colors, especially grey and black (including many AOBA Champions). ESTATES SIERRA Sierra has everything! She's fine, dense, great conformation, good uniformity of micron extending to the belly, uniformity of length, and of color; excellent fiber coverage, and bright. She is the daughter of Patagonia's El Comisario, a spectacular true black male known for his solid bone, dense and crimpy fleece. He is solid framed, adding staple length and volume to his progeny. El Comisario is a Champion producer who descends from the finest black line of Patagonia's genetics. Her dam, Patagonia's Sequoya adds to Sierra's impressive genes. Her beautiful head is striking, and her fleece is dense, and rich in color. She is sired by Patagonia's Vittorio, our solid-colored brown Nishio son whose fleece has extreme density and high frequency crimp. Sequoya won a Reserve Champion banner and Blue Ribbon at the 2011 ABR Fall Festival, and another Blue Ribbon at the 2011 AOBA National Alpaca Show. Offspring: On 7/6/2019, Sierra presented us with a handsome true black male sired by 4x Champion, Patagonia’s Chief. Her son, ESTATES CHIEF BLACK HAWK, won 1st Place and Color Champion at the 2020 Carolina Alpaca Celebration show! He’s showing very good conformation … good solid build … He’s got good substance and density as well, and when I went through his fleece, this is where he got the top absolutely.
