With over 125 crias on the ground and 10 Get of Sire wins he's established himself as one of the elite herdsires in the country. His 12 month histogram of 12.8 micron, 2.6 SD and 0.3% + 30 is one of the finest ever tested. More impressive is that he's held that fineness and uniformity and dependably passes it to his crias. Description

We ended our 2018 birthing season with the arrival of ROCKSTAR's Revival - his name being quite significant. To set the scene, imagine going out to check the girls late evening only to realize the one and only female due any minute (Isla) was nowhere near the barn stall she should have been in. It's dark, cold, and 45 minutes of chasing later, she would have nothing to do with the barn, nor the trusty bucket of pellets, or me. Not. Happening. Six o'clock a.m. the next morning - panic as I am staring at a freezing cold, unresponsive cria. After many hours of getting the cria breathing, slowly warmed up, colostrum, plasma, and vitamins on board - oh, and many prayers, our little boy was revived. We had earlier in the season been on a CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) kick, it seemed only appropriate to name him "Revival", and so it stuck. Fast forward to today, Revival is finally grow up and growing a ton of fleece - beautiful bright, silky white, very fine and uniform throughout. He had the heaviest blanket sheared this spring (2023) and is still just so handsome and macho looking. A bit of a sleeper there for a few years and thanks in no part to Covid was not shown in 2020, or the first half of 2021 but will made his show debut in the fall of 2021. No concern on our part - we know he has the goods and he may be our best-kept secret yet! Best head on the farm. He's a keeper and we couldn't be more excited for his future!
