Congratulations to our friend Annie Hunt of Willow Wind Farm, for acquiring a share of Avatar. Please contact Annie about Avatar breedings. We are thrilled with Avatar's newest creations - including Delphi's Avella - The 2017 National grey female halter Champion at just over 6 months of age. And congratulations to Avella's new owners, Debbie and Dale Hoerl; Alpacas of Moose Creek Ranch! Many more Avatar crias will be arriving in 2018. Avatar has beautiful crimpy, dense, and fine fleece, but what separates him from other outstanding herd sires, is his phenomenal handle - due to both exceptional uniformity, and very bright, low scale fiber. Cameron Holt, AOBA Senior Judge Trainer and world wide fiber expert, gave the following scores to Avatar's fleece: Fineness: 15 out of 15 ; Handle: 5 out of 5 ; Uniformity of micron: 7 out of 8 ; Crimp: 8.5 out of 10 ; Density: 3 out of 5 ; Brightness: 8 out of 10 ; Lack of medullation: 8 out of 10. His daughter Delphi's Lailah won Color Champion Grey Female Fleece at the 2012 Nationals. His son Delphi's Rama won a Blue Ribbon at the 2012 National Fleece Show, (and then brown Color Champion at the Tenessee Waltz Fleece Show). These two Avatar kids insured Delphi's win of the 2012 Classic Cup for fleece, at the 2012 Nationals. Another standout offspring is Kanaka - an 8X Champion with 1% EPD's in both SD and >30; and 2% EPD's in fineness. While we don't participate in the program, we agree Avatar's son Kanaka's EPD stats do reflect his sire's strong suits. Avatar's many other crias now include Six AOBA National Halter or Fleece Champions, several Futurity Champions, and many many many Multi-Champion and Blue Ribbon show winners, in addition to the winners of many Special Awards, such as the Best Brightness award at the National Fleece Show - the first time this award has been awarded to a grey. Please enjoy viewing some of his lovely crias and their fleeces, shown below. Look at all 3 of her crimpy black and grey / harlequin daughters! This foundation girl is an exceptional producer. ~ Strong black and grey color genetics ~ 2nd place of 6 in her only showing ~ 7/8 Peruvian. ~ Correct conformation. ~ Soft, dense feeling fleece with high frequency crimp still present. ~ Strong and healthy with lots of milk for her babies - all girls! Her first daughter was a stunning Harlequin grey daughter, (sold). Her second daughter Bodacia, (sold) is listed below - Her pictures tell the story - another beauty! She has now produced her 3rd cria (6/25/16) - another Stunning Baby Girl! A GORGEOUS dense, soft, fine, crimpy, typey, black girl - shiny bright bright bright - and did we say soft? We are over the moon. :^) Rose's histogram done on 4/23/14 (just over 4 years of age) = AFD 23.3, SD 4.2, CV 18.2, >30 = 5.3%. In 2015 (5 years of age) = AFD 24.2, SD 5.1, CV 20.8, CF 91.2%. Histogram at 6 years, 5-23-16: AFD 25.37, SD 4.57, CV 18.03, CF 87.8 We really appreciate the uniformity and lasting fineness this girl exhibits. Rose's pedigree is very intriguing, with a Snowmass Sire, and a champion dam from Peruvian Silverado, it isn't hard to see where she gets her quality from. And for those of you who are counting, she's 7/8 Peruvian. Rose herself was awarded a second place ribbon in a competitive yearling halter class at 13 months of age, this was her only showing. Rose is currently bred . Let us know how Rose could best fit into your program.

Congratulations to his new owner, Bari Padgett of Paragon Alpacas! Both his mom and his dad are National Banner Winners - each of them in both Halter and Fleece! How many alpacas can say that? Alpenglow Alpacas and Delphi Alpacas went in search of a silver male - that would complement our herds' fineness, brightness, and uniformity - that would maximize character and fleece weight - that would exhibit the typey style that the judges look for. Our goals were to improve fiber production in every capacity, while at the same time producing top show alpacas. Lofty goals - but we found him in Gray Enough. I had the joy (and challenge) of color checking him for show, when I first met this beautiful boy. GE is pale silver gray - that can best be appreciated against a white background. He has a distinct silver cap and silver legs as well. His first crias include a platinum gray female, just a tad darker than GE himself, from a fawn dam. And now his first crias have arrived at Delphi and we are over the moon with their quality. GE's pedigree cannot be topped. His sire is Annual's Bea-2 Bomber - Bomber is well known as the .38 Special son with his own wall of awards - now sire to an ever growing list of his own Champion crias. Now imagine matching Bomber up with an equally impressive dam! They did. GE's mom is 16 time Champion Orlando's Carly Cloud - full sister to Ringo Cloud. Carly's 16 Championships include: Color Champion AOA Nationals Fleece 2015 Color Champion AOA Nationals Fleece 2014 Color Champion AOBA Nationals Fleece 2012 Color Champion AOBA Nationals Halter 2012 Color Champion MAPACA Halter 2012 Reserve Champion The Futurity 2012 (Halter). Description

Kaeya has so much potential as a future foundation dam. Darling head, exceptional presence, lovely conformation - very photogenic! Very dense crimpy fleece, fine with Exceptional uniformity. Her sire is the renowned Avatar, her dam is a classic silver gray, and the mother of two time AOA National black female fleece banner winner, Delphi's Risa. With two classic gray parents - I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when I examined her first shearing and saw all of those silver fibers in there! There is quite a lot of gray - some would consider Kaeya to be a modern rose gray. A camera just don't capture it well enough to judge her color with a photo, so please ask for a fiber sample, so you can judge yourself. With her colorful pedigree, we know she came by that gray honestly. Her second shear at 15 mos: AFD 21.5 - SD 3.2 - CV 15.0 - CF 98.3 Bred to GE for a Summer 2021 cria - and now ready to move to her new home! GE is a simply phenomenal classic light silver gray male - who has already produced a National Banner Winner. (Reserve Champion National Gray Fleece - 2020). GE has a pedigree you need to see to believe - please click on his link above. Financing is available - please inquire.
