AOA# 32314304DOB: 8/9/201113 yrs
Meet the reigning crown prince of CCNF. Show record aside, at the time he was born, Elixir was probably the best male alpaca our breeding program had produced in 16 years. Good thing too, as he and his paternal siblings had some mighty big shoes that we were asking them to fill in the years ahead. The son of three time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Elite Legend, and our multi-Champion Archangel daughter, CCNF Ascension, Elixir when conceived as a concept on paper was supposed to be good. We just had no idea that the stars were going to align quite as nicely as they did. The fleece fineness and phenotype of his maternal line combined with the other-worldly density and uniformity he got from his sire are virtually unmatched here at Cas-Cad-Nac Farm. The 2015 AOA National Fleece Show essentially turned into Elixir's official coming out party as a proven Herdsire. He not only won the Champion Light Male and Judges' Choice Huacaya Male himself but more importantly, four of his offspring (CCNF Spittfire, CCNF Dropshot, CCNF Antares, and CCNF True Adoration) won Championship banners as well, leading to a championship sweep of both the Light and White Male color groups. Not too shabby for his first batch of kids. Since that time of course, the Elixir kids have been front and center in our show strings producing among other accolades, back to back Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards in both 2017 and 2018. Of course one of the things we love about our boy, is that he can be bred to both light and dark females with equally exciting outcomes (Elixir is a classic dorsal beige). He continues to throw everything from whites to browns, all extremely bright and fine. If you have any doubts as to the prowess of this world-class Herdsire, you need only spend 10 minutes or so walking down the line of our show pens any spring or fall. The proof is most definitely in the progeny... Elixir stands at stud here at CCNF from July 1st through October 1st before moving back to our partners' farm in Maryland for the fall season. As of July 1st, 2016 CCNF Elixir was closed for all future outside stud service. You can both look for his offspring in our sales listings though as well as a select number of females who are offered for sale already bred to him.

Ringo's Lucy in the Cloud

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32830286DOB: 8/8/201311 yrs
This beautiful medium fawn female was born in August 2013 and has all the characteristics you would look for in a champion alpaca. Her fleece is unbelievably dense, high frequency, high amplitude, and a long staple length. In addition, she demonstrates a high degree of fineness as noted with an AFD of 20.4 and CV of 20.7 (May 2015), and AFD 21 and CV 22 (May 2016). Histogram results from 4/30/19 continue to be absolutely amazing with an AFD of 20.8, CV 20.7%, SD 4.3, and Fiber >30 of only 3.6%. So couple that lasting fineness with the consistent high density, large bone structure and perfect conformation and you end up with one beautiful alpaca. As a note here, Lucy’s fleece weight at shearing was one of the highest on our farm! Her sire, Ringo Cloud, comes from an exceptional bloodline with the likes of Emerald Farm’s Orlando Cloud, Emerald Farm’s Meadow, Carmen Cloud, Peruvian Victor, Peruvian Rosemery, and Dom Lucilio. Ringo Cloud has twenty two (22) Championships and two (2) Judges Choice Awards with Nineteen (19) blue ribbons. That says it all!?Ringo Cloud is the product of Champions breeding Champions. Both his sire and dam have a combined 8 Championships and 14 Blue Ribbons. Ringo's sire, Emerald Farm's Orlando Cloud was MAPACA’S HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2012 & 2013.?Ringo’s Lucy in the Cloud is the exact image of her father, with all the same features and characteristics! Her dam, A.L. Paca’s Amber Haze, was sired by Simba’s Silver Maze, the winner of 8 Championships and 14 Blue Ribbons. Her grand sire is Simba of A.L. Paca, a 12 time Get-of-Sire winner. Her bloodline also includes multi ribbon winners like Sonora’s Accoyo Ferrari, the outstanding Ferrari’s Burgundie, Peruvian Best ALA’ Best, Legacy De Bolivia, Peruvian Caligula and Peruvian Victor and Victor’s Betsy Ross. As you can see, Ringo’s Lucy in the Cloud comes from pretty amazing bloodlines, and she has some of the best characteristics of them all! She was bred to CCNF Elixir and produced award

Sire: CCNF Elixir (Son of 3 time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Elite Legend, and the multi-champion Archangel daughter, CCNF Ascension). CCNF Elixir is the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Futurity Herdsire of the year. See the information below for a complete listing of CCNF Elixir’s many national Championships, Judges Choice awards, First Place ribbons, etc.! Dam: Ringo’s Lucy in the Cloud. Sired by Ringo Cloud (22 Championships, 2 Judge Choice Awards, and 19 Blue Ribbons. See notes below for complete listing), and Dam A.L. Paca’s Amber Haze (Sired by Simba’s Silver Maze, the winner of 8 Championships and 14 Blue Ribbons). Ringo’s Lucy in the Cloud, a beautiful medium fawn female, was born in August 2013 and has all the characteristics you would look for in a champion alpaca. Her fleece is unbelievably dense, high frequency, high amplitude, and a long staple length. In addition, she demonstrates a lasting fineness in an April 2019 Histogram: AFD 20.8 microns, SD 4.3 microns, CV 20.7% and Fiber > 30 microns 3.6%. Outstanding lasting fineness for a 6 year old, and she definitely passed the “fineness” characteristic to her cria, Elixir’s Ringo Star! Comments: Elixir’s Ringo Star is an amazing future herdsire, carrying strong characteristics from both the Elixir and Ringo Cloud bloodlines. The most stunning fiber attributes include fineness (Scored 19 out of 20 points for Fineness/Handle at the 2019 AOA Alpaca Extravaganza in TN in July), staple length (called a “wool monster” by a judge who measured his fiber length at 6 in.), handle, crimp, brightness and absence of guard hair. April 2019 Histogram results were AFD 17.0 microns, SD 3.3 microns, CV 19.4 %, Fibers >30 microns 0.4%.
