Avalon's Jacob Black

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 31526920DOB: 6/25/201014 yrs
19 Time Halter Champion in True Black! 2012 has been good to Jacob Black. Every show he went to, he was the Color Champion, and it didn't matter if it was the Futurity or Nationals. He finished 2012 with a stellar 19 halter champion banners! Jacob Black has great conformation, a beautiful fleece, and a handsome head. His true black fleece is extremely uniform with a very expressive crimp style found normally on white animals. His personality is laid back and gentle. Jacob Black started showing when he was 9 months old, and since that time, he bannered in every show he went to, with the exception of a blue ribbon at the Futurity when he was 10 months old. Jacob is not available to outside breedings. He will be an exclusive, restricted herdsire for our black program, and he will join 15 time champion Knight Rider in producting show winning blacks. Update: Jacob Black wins Reserve Dark Herdsire at the 2015 Futurity and the 2016 Futurity! That is a fabulous achievement! Update: Jacob Black's crias are outstanding, and many of them are already champions themselves!

2012 AOBA AUCTION - SOLD. Grateful thanks to Pat Till and family, Dusk Till Dawn Alpacas in IA. FIRST PLACE, HALTER - ALPACAPALOOZA 2012...with a very damp fleece. Half brother, Graphite - 1st Futurity 2012! Eleven to 18 microns are the eight highest bars on the histogram graph for her March 2012 mid-side sample (about one inch of cria tips cut off sample). With an SD of 4.1, those eight microns (11 m to 18 m) represent close to two standard deviations, or about two-thirds of the fibers tested in the sample submitted. The graph also shows 5% of fibers at 11 microns...significantly more than her siblings. She is amazingly fine and is on a normal diet (pasture, o. grass, alfalfa, pelleted supplement). (Hint: View fleece photo at smaller size for a realistic idea of her fleece's character.) Reyna's fleece exhibits very well-defined crimp character skin to uncut cria tip with outstanding density, uniformity, length, brightness and a silky handle. Reyna has lots of substance, correct phenotype and conformation and complete coverage, long staple length and a beautiful head with spear-shaped ears and an overflowing topknot. Born at 18.5 pounds, up and nursing in minutes and running around the pastures all afternoon. MRG ALPACAPALOOZA CHAMPION DAM, Miss Liberty, a Premier's Absolute daughter. MSG AOBA COMPOSITE CHAMPION SIRE (3rd fleece!), Snowmass RRoyal Fox, son of royal-fine Snowmass Royal Bronze and a Casanova daughter who produced 3 Futurity winners. RRoyal Fox's 5th fleece placed first (over the adult halter class first place winner at 2 years younger), at Alpacapalooza 2012. Her grandsires are Snowmass Royal Bronze (14.9 / 2.9 / 19.5 / 0.2 ...second shearing) and Premier's Absolute. Reyna is better than her dam and as good as her sire. I couldn't have asked for a better result from her champion parents. She has "it" and will be a super star in any gray program.
