Nikos is an exceptional, half-accoyo, showy son of the renowned silver grey herdsire Aussie Rockford. Nikos is also out of one of the top quality grey females in the nation, Peaceful Valley Priya. Rockford is a half-accoyo son of Pperuvian Felix (deceased) and Priya is a half-accoyo daughter of Pperuvian Yupanqui (deceased), and both of Nikos' parents are highly regarded winners of numerous blue ribbons. Nikos has outstanding conformation, a well-shaped beautiful head, extreme coverage and a dense topknot. His fleece is very, very fine and bright, with good architecture and a gorgeous dark silver grey color. He has well-defined narrow crimp throughout his fiber - all the way up his neck and into his topknot. Nikos is one of the most eye-catching and stylish grey males we have ever seen, with fantastic conformation, coverage, presence, movement and superb fiber. He has three Championships and nine blue ribbons to his credit, even though he has only set foot in a showring three times in his life! The rose grey Avatar son who was Reserve Champion to Nikos at the VA Classic, went on to win Reserve Champion at the prestigious Futurity in 2005, which gives you some idea of the quality of this male... His first crias arrived in Fall 2007 - one solid true black, one true black with a white face - and his 2008 son out of a black dam appears to be a rare dark-pointed roan! Proven to hold fineness and handle over time, Nikos offers excellent quality in colored fiber and rare Accoyo ancestry. Luciano's Ishbel arrived the week before Hurricane Isabel, hence her name, which is the Scottish form of Isabel. This half-Peruvian bombshell is a Danko & Platinum granddaughter, and has inherited four generations of world class grey and black ancestry from her dam, Hisami. A lovely, black Danko daughter, Hisami has extremely fine (20.3 AFD), soft-handled fleece, great coverage, a nice typey head, and has proven to be a wonderful mother. Ishbel's sire is El R Peruvian Luciano, a full Peruvian medium rose grey son of the renowned Peruvian Platinum (deceased). Luciano had an adult micron count of 19.3 and 2.3% of fibers over 30 at his 3rd shearing. His density and handle are excellent, he has a full topknot on a true to type huacaya head and a calm temperament with great presence. Luciano won blue ribbons at the 2003 International Alpaca Odyssey, the 2002 Southwest Regional Alpaca Show, and the 2002 Calpaca Regional Show. Ishbel's maternal grandsire is Danko, one of the top grey herdsires in the country, whose offspring have set auction price records and taken ribbons in every showring. He is a phenomenal herdsire with outstanding coverage and conformation and an AFD of 21.4 at 2 1/2 years of age. Mia, Ishbel's maternal granddam, is a "blue black" Macintosh daughter who remains black all the way to the tips of her fleece. Selected from the Alpacas de la Patagonia herd for her exceptionally strong, straight, dense-boned conformation, Mia has nice luster and a fine, soft handled fleece, with a micron of 24.4 at 4 years of age. Ishbel has exceptional fineness and a wonderful high frequency, low amplitude crimp to her fiber, which is now turning dark silver/dark rose grey. With her wonderful typey head, excellent coverage, and proud, upright presence, Ishbel has already earned herself a place in our foundation herd, as well as our hearts!
