WINGMAN IS SOLD AND NOW BACK IN THE USA! Although he is no longer with us, we are keeping him in our herdsire list as reference as he has profoundly impacted the quality of our herd! Wingman is definitely the best male we have added to our grey herd sire lineup! From the moment we saw him and laid our hands in his fiber, we knew he was very special and could surely contribute in many different ways to our grey breeding program. We feel confident in saying that he is one of the most complete grey male in all of Eastern Canada and his first crop of crias is absolutely incredible! Wingman’s sire is none other than Bea-2 Bomber (.38 Special) one of the most influential grey males in almost a decade in the USA and his True Black Dam is out of the Macusani lineage. Wingman has a typey, compact frame that packs on a ton of beautiful light silver grey fiber exhibiting fineness, uniformity, density and brightness. HIs fiber also has a well-defined crimp with nice amplitude and an amazing staple length for age. He did very well in the show rings in both the USA and Canada. Now that his show career is over, we have him focusing on breeding! Although he has started his breeding career, Wingman remains easy to handle and is calm demeanor has been passed onto his offspring. They are a charm to train and handle and they are exhibiting all of Wingman’s amazing fleece traits. He has produced beautiful head styles and compact frames. We are truly over the moon with his first crias and we look forward to many more out of this exquisite grey male! CONGRATULATIONS to FLEECY DALE ALPACAS for adding this amazing sire to their herd! Wingman has profoundly transformed our grey breeding program and although we are sad to see him leave our farm, we are absolutely trilled that his legacy will continue on in another grey program in the United States. We know he will be in good hands and we will be keeping an eye on what he will be producing south of the border!

Sutton's Tamara

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 32727852, CLAA# 45694DOB: 7/6/201410 yrs
Tamara is one of the most stunning true black we have produced up to now. With a compact frame and beautiful head, she is one of our favorite foundation girls here. Although she inherited great density from her sire and good fineness and uniformity of her dam, one of her most impressive and striking fiber quality is her staple length. Her 5th fleece came in just short of 5 inches at shearing! Needless to say this is one of the longest staple length for age on our farm and her EPD tends to confirms that. She still ranks top 5% at age 8 for MSL and definitely passes on this trait to her crias which almost all rank Top 1% for that same trait. Tamara also carries a ton of fleece and her crias are always heavy fleeced beasts :) Although MSL seems more and more detrimental to halter and fleece showing these days and that this valuable trait is slowly being almost bred out across herds in both the US and Canada, we feel that it is very important for fiber processing longevity (and let's not forget, adds to overall fleece weight!). Too little or too much can certainly be detrimental for showing purposes but in terms of breeding value, we feel that this trait is clearly underrated and should be considered and valued as much as other traits such as MC, AFD or SD in the constant pursuit of the "perfect fleece"! Although her crias have all ranked top 1% for MSL, some still carry a high MC (have a look at her son Helix's fleece!). Her 2 classic silver sons from Wingman have also won CC and RC in 2022 (one behind the other!) so exceptional MSL is clearly not always detrimental to showing! That said, we highly value what this exceptional girl brings to our program and we look forward to many more crias from her! Tamara is bred to Ariya Pure Reserve's Jophiel for a 2023 cria. We are expecting a homerun with this one and hopefully a female cria this time around ;)

Description

Titan is a beautiful little compact LSG male. This little guy has definitely inherited his sire compact frame and head style. He truly is a spitting image of his sire! As soon as he was born, we knew he was something special! This boy has spot on conformation and a fleece to die for! Add to that his sweet personality and calm demeanor, he truly represent everything we look for in a little male! Titan was born with amazingly fine fiber (one of the fineness we have ever produced!) and the longest staple length definitely passed down by both dam and sire. His dam Tamara has in fact one of the longest staple length in our herd with a 4 1/2 inches at her 5th shearing! A part from a few tiny black spots on his dorsal, this boy is completely uniform in color! His 2nd fleece is now coming in and it is just stunning! So, so fine and uniform with a great handle! It will definitely be exciting to see this little fella fully mature. SOLD: Congratulations to Marie Henein in Waupoos, Ontario for the purchase of this amazing male!
