Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014. Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows. Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

How would you like to own the last female ever sired by the legendary Snowmass Legacy Gold? Gemma is really like a CCNF alpaca that just happened to be born elsewhere. When our dear friend, Sue Monat, made the tough decision to sell her small alpaca herd after the passing of her husband, Alan, in 2014, we stepped in and bought both Gemma and her dam, Saline, whom the Monats had originally purchased from us years ago at the National Elite sale. One of our young females, Moonlight, had competed in the show ring with Gemma, so on top of being familiar with the genetics (Saline is a SuperNova daughter out of our old über foundation female, PPPeruvian Prestige), we had no doubts whatsoever about her qualities. Quite frankly, the only reason we have Gemma listed here at all is because, well...we have to list someone. Were she to stay here at CCNF, that would not be a bad thing at all. Do we need another top-shelf LG daughter in our foundation herd? Not really: between Archangel, Goldden Sovereign, and their sister Magdalena we've kind of had that angle covered for a while, but on the other hand, high end production females are kind of like great pitchers on a baseball team - there is no such thing as too much depth! Gemma gave birth in October 2015 to a gorgeous fawn Snowmass Matrix Majesty girl, CCNF Sienna. Gemma and baby will offered together until such time as Sienna is weaned in the late winter/early spring of 2016. At that time we will then offer mom by herself. Gemma has been bred back to our 2014 Futurity Champion, Spirit Wind's Maestro for an early September 2016 cria. That cria will be among Maestro's first kids on the ground. All told, this is a nifty little package: a proven, ribbon-winning dam from two of our most potent paternal and maternal lines, with a top quality female cria at side (whose sire is a 2-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year), bred to yet another Futurity Champion. ***April 2016 Update: Gemma's daughter, CCNF Sienna, made the cut onto our spring show string and won 1st and 2nd place ribbons at the 2016 NAAS and 2016 Northeast Alpaca Expo respectively!
