Nobody would have thought that Flashback's full sister FRE Elixir's Fashionably Late (aka "Flashy") could ever be surpassed. After all, she won Judge's Choice in a level 5 show. But Taffy and Elixir did just that!
From the moment of birth, Flashback showed tight crimp right up his ears and between his toes!
His conformation is flawless and his presence is unparalleled -- and he knows it.
Flashback is in the top 25% EPDs in several categories, including mean curvature (this indicates high frequency crimp), percent medullation (the occurrence of a hollow core or hollow sections within the fleece), and percent of fibers larger than 30 microns (which a breeder can use to determine consistency and fineness of a fleece). These are exciting numbers!
His mother Taffy is a MULTI! Are you breeding for multis?
Flashback retired from a very successful show career and has several cria following in his footsteps.
His firstborn, FRE Flashback's Nirvana [ARI: #31522038], is breathtaking! Nirvana has a perfect, strong but compact frame, phenomenal fiber, and a sweet disposition. She assumes the ambassador role at Bluebird Farm given her social skills, her calm demeanor, and her overall curiosity. She can also be found cushing with children cuddled around her!
His son FRE Bacchus [ARI: #32620405 ] is a handsome herdsire on the East Coast. His fleece has a good staple and is uniformly dense and fine. He is now fathering is own cria!
His grandson through Nirvana, BB Joyful Juneau [ARI: #35355403] also carries on his wonderful traits. The description of him via his farm's OpenHerd page is this: Joyful Juneau "has great confirmation with very nice, dense fleece. He has a sweet personality, and great demeanor. He enjoys open farm weekends, with hand fed grain. And never misses a selfie."
We hope he lends his excessive density to our program!
Sometime in April of 2022, we lost this sweet boy after he ate significant amounts of his own fiber. We are still not sure how. None was on the ground or on the fence, and he had no bald or shallow patches on him. We only realized the cause through a necropsy after tests showed nothing,
