Cinders is the 2016 and 2017 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year and the 2018 Reserve Dark Herd Sire of the Year! He is also a 3 time Herd Sire of the Year for the Medium Breeder Division! Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. GLR Black Pearls is a true black daughter of a Midnight Rock and Shavano, the 2010 Dark Herdsire of the Year. Her mother is dense and heavily covered with superior lock and luster and why we added her to our foundation female line up. She has no MacGyver genetics so she is a great candidate for outcross breeding to the MacGyver pedigree. Her regrowth since her first shearing is impressive. She was bred to Cinders and has a beautiful true black 2015 daughter, GLR Black Jewel at her side who was a member of our 2016 show string and ought to be a serious contender to be shown as a yearling.
