Who wants a 14 year old herdsire? I say someone who looks beyond the now and can see the future. While Best Man's Elite Reflection was a show winner in his own right and has produced multiple show winning cria, his true value is in his slow growth fiber. Having bought a herdsire with and AFD in the teens only to "blowout to 30+ microns in 4 years, this trait cannot be overstated. How many 14 year old alpacas have you seen with a fiber diameter of 23.5? My guess is, not many. For the price of one or two breedings to the latest "macho showring stud" you can infuse this fineness genetic trait in all of your future generations. And let's not overlook a SD of 4.2. If you are looking for fineness and consistency this is a total package. What is not shown by the stats is the incredible brightness that is infused in his offspring's fleece. If you are trying to establish a quality foundation herd you need to seriously consider Reflection. His sire is the multi champion Snowmass Best Man who is now in Switzerland. His dam is champion producing Snowmass Elite Luminescence. On the sire’s side: Quechua, Accoyo Elite, Snowmass Maree Love, Hemingway, Snowmass Wedding Pacabells, Don Julio, Pachelbel On the dam’s side: White Gold, Legacy, Accoyo Dani, Snowmass Accoyo Mist, Christmist, Accoyocusani, Augusto, Isabella From those genetics came a multi banner winning macho whose fleece presents Consistency, and Fineness with outstanding conformation. Don't be fooled by his age. Reflection still produces incredible cria with fineness, consistency and brightness that can only be described as blinding. His cria have won 2 Color Champion, 8 Reserve Color Champion, 37 First Place and 41 Second Place banners and ribbons. He is priced for quick sale. Call or email FMI.

Description

Don't be fooled by John Corbly's AFD. He has an exceedingly soft handle that will make a luxurious yarn. He is a nice boy with a lot of curiosity. He is always "nosing around" whenever we are in the field with him. He is calm around children and will "eat out of the palm of your hand." While he does not like being haltered, once done, he leads very well. (It's just that initial placement of the halter that he dislikes.) We believe so strongly in the quality of the yarn he can produce that we are selling him as a fiber animal. Fleece samples are available upon request. If you are looking for quality fiber to spin into yarn you should consider John.
