Heatwave is a fiber monster, with tight bundles of zipper-style fleece, extremely dense. We have to trim his face so that he can see. He puts out more poundage of fiber than several of our other animals combined. He is darker than both of his parents, with a dorsal stripe and fading to lighter in the arm pits and chest. He has a smaller stature, weighing in at 145 lbs. Look at those pictures; not touched up at all. He has NO primaries protruding. His pedigree is power packed. His full Accoyo sire Don Marcelino (now deceased) is by the great Timoteo. Dam Emma, by Accoyo Goldsmith, was a color champion in her younger days. With bloodlines like that, Heatwave can't go wrong. Sharon Loner looked him over at WiAFF in April 2015 (outside of the ring) and commented that he was very nicely square with nice straight legs. Very soft to the touch, although he has micron variation throughout his blanket, consistent with the color variation. Heatwave has two cria that can be seen in River Falls. "Honey Roasted Peanut", white boy out of a dark fawn dam with black points (how did that happen?), and "Mirage," brown girl out of a medium fawn dam.

ELK Fantasy Lady

AOA# 31134705DOB: 11/13/200717 yrs
ELK Fantasy Lady is the daughter of Double "O" Good Herdsire Hall of Fame male, ELK Hercules. Like her father she has his regal presence and stature. She has excellent conformation and bite. Her blanket is dense, but admittedly lacking in crimp and bundling at this age. If you are looking for a solid foundation female, look no further. She has truely been a great mother, feeding her cria well (she could be a dairy cow) and passing on her calm demeanor and good fleece density. Lady is a fading medium to dark fawn with grey coloration on her muzzle. She has a tendency to throw the color of the sire. She should be bred for fineness and increased staple length. Lady had a dark fawn female with white underbelly "Mirage," June 3, 2017, by 3/4 Accoyo Heatwave, making the baby 3/8 Accoyo, 3/4 Peruvian. Density, architecture and length of the fleece looks awesome. Mirage was placed in the "brown females" group for the Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest and took 4th - not too shabby. Not as much staple length and density as those above her. June 24, 2018, again Lady did not disappoint. Another girl, we named "Fantasma". This one, a dusty medium fawn with no white. She is Soft Shinook's first offspring - and we will definately be using him again this year. Royal Fawn was know for extreme brightness and shine and it seems to have come through to this great-grandaughter. June 23, 2019 - another girl! By Shinook again. But this little one is a fading light fawn, with white on her face. Long staple length and growing well (50 pounds at 4 months, 70 at 6 months), nice crimp to the fleece but lacking in density. The light fawn doesn't hold the shine like on darker Fantasma.

Ventura's Peruvian Vengeance

DARK BROWN WINNER - THROWS BLACK 1st place in his first show, and then 2nd place to a gorgeous Crystal Spartan male from Triple Diamond Ranch (MI). And Ventura boys have a tendency to get better with age. He's turned into a square, boxy, very solid male - not long and lanky. Smaller side - about 150 pounds. Calm personality - a little shy. Does not challenge other boys in the pen. Vengeance's first cria looks spectacular. A light to medium brown boy out of a medium fawn dam. He's definitely curly! Heavy coverage, especially on his face. And a BLACK girl out of a light brown dam - we've only seen pictures, as she is in N.Dakota. $1250 for Vengeance. WHAT A BARGAIN! Ventura's stud fee is $2,000. And you know you're getting a proven winner here. Make a package of Vengeance and Velluto - two buddies completely different bloodlines and colors. $2,000 for the two together.

Description

Mirage is a slender girl, with a bouncy personality. Light brown with white underbelly and inside legs. How can you resist those big doe eyes? Mirage and Michelangelo's Awakening made a mini-Mirage, named Morning Illusion! She's dark fawn with a lighter underbelly and legs. Awakening stamped his nice density on her and the staple length is improved over Mirage. Mirage was a VERY protective mother for the first 4 to 5 months. but now has eased up and will let Illusion out of her sight. Mirage was bred late October to Vengeance (JLFA Millenium's Ventura son).
