Treasure Valley's Tres Equis

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31651899DOB: 4/22/200915 yrs
Kendall Creek Farms is pleased to announce our 50% ownership of Tres Equis! Congratulations to Rosehaven Alpacas for their acquisition as well, we look forward to a lasting partnership on this prepotent male. Treasure Valley’s Tres Equis is the son of Snowmass XXXtreme, and one of only 3 gray males ever produced by this legendary Snowmass line. A 5-time banner winner, Tres is a large framed male with spot on conformation supporting a fleece that is dense, fine, and maintains an incredible handle for a 11-year old breeding male. How very impressive that this male is producing champions and exhibiting relevance to our industry’s gray community at the age of 11!! Tres is certainly passing these prepotent genetics on to his progeny. Examples include, Rosehaven’s Triple Threat, a gray male having won 23 banners and 4 Judges Choice awards; and a Tres girl that won the gray female Color Champion at the 2019 AOA International Fleece show. These are just two examples of the 87% of his offspring that have been shown and placed in the ribbons. And, since we are going for the gray here, then you will be pleased to know that when bred to a gray dam, Tres has thrown gray 78% of the time! Please Contact us about breedings, his offspring that are for sale, and girls that will come with breedings to this champion maker!!

On Her Way to Going Gray

KCF Ella Ella

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 35144106DOB: 8/31/20159 yrs
Here we have a very nice fawn girl that just happens to be a gray in disquise. She would actually be considered gray at this point if there was such a thing as gray with a fawn base. But alas, we will just have to bring it out with her first breeding - to gray of course!! Another unique thing about this beauty is her name. You might think that I made a typo but it is truly Ella Ella. We did this to honor both of her grandmothers, Estrella and Canderella; get it....Both are worth mentioning here. Estrella is a fawn that is the basis of a serious gray line for Kendall Creek. She is a Champion that has produced multiple Champions for us and that of course includes gray. Canderella is the dam of Candyman (a notorious stealth gray maker) and multiple Champion. these lines are packed I tell ya. Champion parents, champion gray brother, champion gray sister, gray aunts and uncles; oh my!!!! Ella has the perfect frame and coverage, as do all of her relations. They are all just cookie cutter likenesses of the ideal alpaca. Massive bone with coverage to the toes. Block heads that all look like the most macho males you've seen, even on the girls. Ella's fleece is has a tight zipper crimp style with match-stick bundling. She has good fineness and is very uniform. Her color is not uniform, as I alluded to previously. It is an indefinite tri-color fawn that is perfect for going gray, but it wasn't so perfect for showing. Ella was only shown once and was kept in her tough fawn class in 6th place because, as the judge put it; 'her outstanding characteristics that needed to be recognized in spite of her very unusual fiber color, but I think you know what you have here' . And so with that in mind, she has been bred to Treasure Valley's Tres Equis for a cria in the fall of 2018. 2018: Boom!! As anticipated, we have our first gray cria from Ella Ella, and she is a stunner!! KCF Empress is a smooth medium silver gray that is just what the stork ordered! Go Tres Equis!! SOLD - Thank you Breezy Meadows Alpacas!! 2019: Bred back to Tres Equis again for 2020! And we have another beauty! Although not a gray, Blush is certainly a gray wanna-be. It's basically a carbon copy of Ella, and we think that is a very good thing. Another easy way to a quality gray. SOLD - Thank you Windcrest Alpacas!! 2020: We are liking the results with Tres, so guess what, here we go again! And in 2021 we welcome KCF Estevan! A classic gray boy that has all the goods!! Getting ready to post his page on the site next so you can see for yourself! SOLD - Thank you Meadowgate Alpacas! 2021: You know, when you got a good thing going, why would you do something different? Back to Tres she goes for another Rockstar in 2022!!

Description

We would like to congratulate and thank Charlene and Conrad Arnold of Breezy Meadows Alpacas for their purchase of KCF Empress!! Empress will be joining one of the top shelf breeding programs in the east, and we are very proud to place her with such respected alpaca peeps!! We think you will be quite impressed with the Empress.... Suffice it to say that we were so impressed, that we decided to purchase her sire when he recently became available. We now co-own TVA Tres Equis with Rosehaven Alpacas of New York. We originally bred Empress' dam to Tres with the intention of proving a theory about her entire fawn line. We have several and they have thrown gray when bred to gray just about every time. Ella Ella was a maiden and we wanted to see if Tres could bring it out before we made an offer on the boy. Boom!! The rest is ongoing history. So, Tres is now bred to every one of Ella Ella's female relations; here we go.... At the Showtacular in the fall of 2019, Empress was third in both shows, and behind the color and reserve champions in both shows!! Consistent judging and results I would say. Empress is right in the hunt as one of the top gray girls around, and with a fully transferable breeding of your choice, she has tons to offer....
