AGE 8: HOLDING AT 20.2 with a 4.6 SD!! As the youngest in his class of 13, he placed third at the Great Western (06) and then went on to 1st and Color Champion at the ABR Fall Festival (2006). In March 2007, The Lad placed 1st at the Southwest Regional Show and at Texolan he took first and Reserve Color Champion. At Mopaca In January 2008, he was awarded first and Reserve Color Champion. His pen was crowded with admirers and he remains one of the main attractions for visitors to Dundee Farm. At his final show at GWAS, he placed first over a stunning true black Legacy grandson. The Lad's cria micron came it at 18.2 with a comfort factor of 99. By two years of age, it had risen to 18.7. The Lad's 2012 report (age 8) came in at: AFD: 20.2, SD: 4.6, CV: 22.8, >30: 3.1... amazing considering his age and color. His crias first fleeces are coming in from 14.8 to 18.0. He is dense, covered from head to toe to tail with curly, bright, fiber, and has extreme coverage on his remarkable head. He has the classic square bodied conformation and turns heads wherever he goes. The Lad's crias are ALL true black or dark brown. And...now a ROSE GREY out of a rose grey dam. They are winning in the show ring. Harris, owned by Annie's Alpaca Ranch, took a first at both GWAS and AOBA Nationals. Other standouts include Raine and Soldier (a Reserve Champion at 3 years old...MOPACA show, Reserve Champion at Oklahoma, and Champion at Ozarks Show) from Flatland Ranch, and Bonnie and from Manna Meadows.

Dam: TrueHeart's Alida

Beautiful Eastwind's Snowstorm Girl

TrueHeart's Alida

HuacayaOpen (Female)Beige
AOA# 32130072DOB: 8/12/201014 yrs
Alida is purely feminine. She is a beautiful girl with very lofty, soft fleece. She is the daughter of multi-champion, Eastwind's snowstorm, and she has his signature sturdy frame and heavy bone. Alida would enhance any herd and enrich your gene pool. Although she is beige, we feel she would also be well suited in a program that offers color. Fleece samples are available and we welcome farm visits.

SSAFL Michelangelo's Peruvian Cupid

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey

Cupid is a handsome, macho modern grey herdsire with incredible curb appeal. He has a striking bright, dense, uniform fleece that has incredible handle. He is conformationally sound, and is strong boned. Cupid's first crias, lovely modern grey females also (Daphne and Delilah) were born the summers of 2010 and 2011. Cupid's offspring have proven themselves in the show ring winning Color Championships. His first female offspring, Daphne has gone on to produce a classic rose grey female who just won her first color championship at the level 5 GWAS show in Denver (2015). His second female offspring, Delilah has been awarded two color championships and many blue ribbons. Delilah resides here at Willow Wind Farm along with her two award winning daughters (Bombers Diamond Lil and Willowwind's Bombers Cloud Princess). Cupid is the sire of champions, who have gone on to produce champions and is unique in his ability to fairly consistenly throw a gorgeous modern grey fleece with superior density and consistency. Cupid sired a gorgeous modern grey male, The Shaman, who just won first place at National Western Stock show in a competitive class of yearling grey males (Jan 2020). It was not surprising that he was chosen for first due to his superior consistency and density when compared to his class (summary of Judges comments). He sports a gorgeous blue roan (silver grey)fleece (Picture included). Cupid is available for breedings. If a consistent dense modern grey is in your plans - this is your guy! Cupid is proudly co-owned with Paul and Lindy Huber of Seldom Scene Farm.

Description

Suki is so fine for a true black that I had her fleece tested twice in year 1 and 2. Just to make sure. Year 1: 15.8 AFD, 4.1 SD Year 2: 16.4 AFD, 4.4 SD In year 3, her AFD was just north of 17 microns. She is a TRUE black - no fading on her blanket at all. Superior fleece coverage Excellent pedigree. Very strong bone and compact frame. Sweet temperament - SUPER CALM. A joy to handle. Suki will be bred to The Shaman in 2021. Her fineness coupled with his uniformity and density...... I am expecting a WOW cria out of this pairing. Blue roan anyone? Suki brings to true black the fineness that darker animals often are challenged with. And she does it with excellent conformation, coverage and charm. Suki would be an asset to anyone's dark program. So much so that I have hesitated with her over and over again. If she doesnt sell - I will not be disappointed. NOT AT ALL.
