Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014. Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows. Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

Velvet Challenge comes to us from Happy Hounds Ranch on West Coast. We became interested in him for our color breeding program because we were really happy seeing what his sire, Velvet Touche produces in color. This boy is a champion in the show ring and has an outstanding fleece. He produces a strong, dense staple that has an outstanding brightness and uniformity. He is a robust male with a very strong and conformationally perfect frame. We have bred him to the majority of our dark females this summer and fall and we are very excited for his 2019 cria. Velvet Challenge is a solid producing male on our farm. He has produced well over twenty cria on the farm. He primarily produces fawn and brown. His crias are well sized with good conformation and phenotype. Several of his cria have also been banner winners in the show ring. Some of these winners include Buck Brook's Velvet Flare, who is now a herdsire in Canada. Velvetina who is on the farm and bred to Zagato's Zephrite and most recently Loki's Challenge at DL Farms in Canada. Loki's Challenge took Grand Champion and Judge's Choice in the fleece category at the most recent Navan Fair Fleece Show. Velvet as we call has a nice temperament and is easy to handle and breed. We have been blessed with plenty of his Velvet Touche genetics on the farm, which was our goal, so we are now offering him for sale. He has many good breeding years left. He is priced to sell, and we can offer fleece samples and more information. A great male at a great price!
