LHSA Pandora's McPryed is now available for Herdsire Breedings at our farm. Drive-By breedings available or your dam may board at our facility for an additional fee. Contact us for more information and to discuss your specific needs. Transportation at your own expense. LHSA Pandora's McPryed's 2013 biopsy results: Density 60.25, S/P 10.3/1, S/P 18.8/26.1, Spread 7.3, Gland 3of 4, Medulation 10% We are elated with the results of this biopsy. We believe a lower spread leads to better uniformity, better handle, etc. McPryed is now passing on these genetics. He recently received another blue ribbon in halter at the RAC. "Incredible luster and lock" on this male especially in his 3rd fleece. His Second Fleece prime blanket 5.3lbs, neck fleece 2lbs. The entire 7 lbs of fleece was similar enough to be spun together. His fleece was used to create ultra lace weight yarn for our machine-knit dresses. 6,400 yds/lb. We just received his 2016 Histogram. AFD 23.0, SD 5.7,CV24.8, >30 9.8 at 5 years of age. This was his 4th fleece. His prime blanket was 5.2 lbs and again he had 2 lbs of neck fleece. all of which is very usable fiber. McPryed's first 2 cria are demonstrating these same fiber characteristics. fineness, Lock and low SD These genetics don't surprise us as his Dam "Pandora" had a 2016 histogram report: AFD 19.8 , SD 5.7, CV 28.7, >30 6.3 This is at 8 years of age. Her last cria "Haukea" at 1yr AFD15.6, SD3.9, CV25.5, >30 0.8 Mc Pryed's cria are starting to have an effect. his 2017 cria Cutter owned by Memory Acres was Reserve white champion in all 3 shows at MAPACA, then white color champion at 2018 National fleece show, and reserve white champion at 2018 Suri symposium fleece show. Looking at pictures of Cutter and McPryed at 1 year old, they look like twins!! In 2018 Miss phoebe (TB) and McPryed produced an incredible light fawn cria with black skin, LHSA Savannah. Can't wait to show her starting in Feb 2019. 2020 shearing produced a 4.4# blanket and 1.8# all grade 2-3 and very usable.

Description

This cria was our most anticipated cria ever. We had spent 4 years from the day we bought her mom until the baby was born. We were not disappointed! Our plan had been to sell mom's offspring, but the dam died when Savannah was 2.5 months old. Her sire is LHSA McPryed, take a look at his biopsy results! LHSA Miss Savannah's show career was cut short by COVID19. LHSA Miss Savannah's Histogram Highlights! * Mean Fiber Diameter: 15.3 microns *Mean Staple Length: * Comfort Factor: 98.7 % * Fibers Greater Than 30 microns: 1.3 % Savannah's biopsy results were shocking. She is now our top Suri Female! Savannah's density is 83.75 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P of 8.1. Her secondary fibers average 17.87 micron with primaries at 28.2 micron, and a spread of 10.33. LHSA Miss Savannah is in the top 10% EPDs. A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously. • All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria. • Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis. • All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm. • Bred females receive a minimum of 2 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician. We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
