Destiny's Peruvian Ghost Rider
HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Rose Grey
AOA# 31546928DOB: 11/11/200816 yrs
Son of Peruvian Francisco, Grandson of Aladdin of KPR and Great Grandson of 5 Royal Inca Legend, our Ghost Rider is an impressive male. Carrying perfect conformation, substance of bone, full fleece coverage to the ground and a gorgeous head and proud bearing, you can hardly wait to get your hands into that fleece. Even at 7 years of age you will not be disappointed in what you feel. Rider has perhaps the slickest handle I have ever felt on a gray huacaya. We have had 7 offspring born of him here and we can confirm that he passes this trait every time. His fleece has remained soft and his shear weight has continued to be in excess of 5 pounds of prime blanket. The 6 year histogram showed his AFD at 26 with an SD of 4.8 and CV of 17.9.
Rider has thrown gray consistently when breed to gray 4 times; 2 tuxedo silver and two modern dark rose. One gray breeding resulted in a gorgeous true black. A medium brown produced a golden, medium fawn. He has also produced dark rose from a light fawn dam (silver gray and rose gray lines).
If you are looking to improve your yarn quality in gray, I highly recommend breeding gray dams to Ghost Rider. There are 4 offspring here on the farm. You can see the progeny for yourself and see the fleece Rider himself is producing today. His fleece become some of our best selling yarn and finished goods year after year.
