MAPACA's 2015 Suri judge, Jill McLeod, said of Heat Wave's first offspring, " stupendous luster and excellent fineness... ". NO LONGER FOR SALE! We are offering Half Interest in our championship boy, Heat Wave. We have loved this boy since the day he was born! He’s a beige full accoyo junior herdsire with amazing luster, fineness, and excellent bone! His sire is HHSF Accoyo Rummblle Suri that boasts lines that include Baron Lafite, Ramilo and Humming Hill’s infamous dam, Acca. Wavys dam was sired by Inca and was out of the Uribe line! Wow, can’t ask for better heritage than that! Heat Wave’s sorter said, “Exceptional! Very clean for Grade 1, no matting. Luster rating of 10 and Uniformity of lock at 10””. This boy is not only a beautiful (and now proven) suri alpaca, but is incredibly calm, sweet, and easy to handle. Sweet Valley Suris will maintain ownership of our half. Heat Wave was born at SVS and has remained here unless he was wowing judges in the show ring! As a juvenile, Heat Wave took a Blue at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration, and continued with three more Blues at Nationals, MAPACA, and again at Carolina; plus a Reserve Championship at MABA and a Championship at PAOBA! We are quite pleased with this boy and the judges were too! Sweet Valley Suris will be pleased to share this boy with another fortunate breeder!

Description

What a pedigree on this young female! Maiwë (pronounced MY-way) is the product of Accoyo genetics crossed with an outstanding female line known for producing low micron suri fiber. The result? A female that possesses a beautiful high luster fleece with good lock structure, a silky soft handle, and lingering fineness. Maiwë's 2018 histogram report shows her maintaining a Grade 1, uniform fleece into adulthood. Her EPD numbers also rank her in the top 10-15% for Average Fiber Diameter (AFD), Standard Deviation (SD), Spin Fineness (SF), Percentage of Fibers Over 30 Microns (%F>30). Plus, she is also ranked well above average for Mean Staple Length (MSL) and Fiber Weight (FW). What does all this tell us? That this girl should produce crias that will carry on their dam's outstanding fiber characteristics and she herself will be an asset for any suri fiber producing herd. If I had to fault Maiwë for anything, it's that she is on the smaller side when it comes to breeding females. But, as they say, great things can come in small packages. She is a well-built girl with a lot of potential. Feel free to contact me for additional information.
