Exciting News, Blackbeard worn the 2024 Futurity Reserve Champion Herdsire of the Year! 2024 Breeding Special! Buy one Blackbeard breeding and get one for free - yep that $2500 for 2 Blackbeard breedings! This is for a drive by breeding only. I am currently not taking any animals to be boarded. If you are looking for a true black herdsire that improves the damn pretty much 100% of the time, this is the male you should be breeding too! The proof is in his offspring and many happy customers! Blackbeard won the Reserve Black Male Championships at the 2022 AOA National Show (Out of 36 black males) and the 2022 MAPACA Jubilee at almost 10 years old! Amanda Vanderbusch's comments were , "very very impressive", this is what happens when they are put together corrrectly - they hold up over time", and much more. Blackbeard is stamping his powerful frame on all of his offspring which is creating a powerhouse of breeding alpacas! Blackbeard named 2019 Futurity Herdsire of the year in Small Farm division! I could talk about this gorgeous boy forever! Blackbeard has a simply gorgeous head, an incredibly fine, dense fleece with amazing architecture, and talk about coverage everywhere, Wow! Add all that to a male with huge bone and a strong frame and you have yourself a truly unique true black herdsire. He also has a gentle personality as he is extremely easy to handle and work with even since he has been breeding. Blackbeard is passing on these traits to his offspring in a very consistent manner when paired with any female so far. A good friend referred to him as an "Impact Male" due to him putting his stamp on all of his cria. Blackbeard's offspring are on the ground, hitting the shows and collecting banners across the country! Check out some of his amazing offspring on my site and add some of his a babies to your herd. With 110 registered offspring, it is hard to find any of them for sale due to the desirability of his genetics! This is the kind of male that I have dreamed about having in my herd and I feel extremely fortunate and blessed that God sent him my way when he did as he is one crazy amazing boy! Blackbeard's Offspring are hitting the shows and making their mark! Blackbeard currently has 116 Registered Cria - here are the following show results of the ones shown: Color Champion - 10 Reserve Color Champion - 21 First - 80 Second - 73 Third - 70 Fourth - 41 Fifth - 28 Six - 34 and growing!

National Velvet "Lizzy" is a true black silky soft female with a short face, broad muzzle and fuzzy ears. She has excellent bone substance and is a fantastic and protective mother. She has a perfect bite with dark eyes. Her sire is none other than Neversummer's US Steel 3 time Futurity Herdsire of the year for the Small Breeder Division and proven producer of beautiful grey color champions. National Velvet's dam is Granite Bay Satin Silhouette, a beautiful Snowmass Satin ReserveXX daughter with excellent bone substance on a stout frame (which is so characteristic of her sire). National Velvet comes from a great line of beautiful animals with excellent milk production and great mothering instincts. On 12/7/17 Lizzy delivered a beautiful fawn boy sired by 2015 Futurity Color Champion-- FTAF Blackbeard. Lizzy’s cria has no fuzzy cria tips... just beautiful bundles of shiny curls! He was born 14 pounds and has doubled his weight in his first two weeks. Even as a newborn, his fleece is something out of the ordinary... and he has been named Silky Sam, I am! 2018 - Lizzy throws a Harlequin female with black spots! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. This pairing has been repeated for a December 2019 offspring! 11/29/19 - Lizzy delivered a stunning dark silver grey female— dense, silky soft fleece and beautiful coloration. Just charmed! 12/18/20 - Lizzy delivered a 323 day gestation true black! He is very handsome and, as always, Lizzy is being a stellar mom. 3/28/21 - Lizzy was bred to harlequin appaloosa herdsire Apache Gentleman. She is behavior testing "positive" for pregnancy after just one breeding. This girl is oh, so easy when it comes to breeding. Lizzy has now been bred just 3 times since her arrival in December 2017. These 3 breedings have resulted in 2 offspring and its lookin' good that she is pregnant now as well for an early March 2022 offspring. Just love it when the foundation girls are this fertile and reproductively healthy. Go Lizzy!! 7/9/22 - Lizzy is currently in Colorado for her breeding to 3X appaloosa champion Apache Gentlemen's Alchesay. She has behavior tested positive and will return to California in September 2022. Lizzy is available as a 3-in-1 package with her male cria at side. This is a limited time offer while Lizzy is in Colorado.

Description

Silky Sam I Am is a super friendly boy. He is a favorite of every ranch visitor. He eats pellets from your hand and loves a scratch behind the ear. His fleece was entered in two shows this year and he took a 1st and 2nd place. His fleece is super soft, bright, and full of crimp. This fine fleece will make wonderful yarn for the fiber enthusiast! Sam is in perfect health and as cute as can be... but he is small for his age. Due to his size, he is not making the cut for the Rare Gem Herdsire row and is offered for sale with his best friend, Snickerdoodle. These two are great friends and should go to a loving home together. Both boys are current on shots, vaccines and recently shorn.
