Meet the reigning crown prince of CCNF. Show record aside, at the time he was born, Elixir was probably the best male alpaca our breeding program had produced in 16 years. Good thing too, as he and his paternal siblings had some mighty big shoes that we were asking them to fill in the years ahead. The son of three time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Elite Legend, and our multi-Champion Archangel daughter, CCNF Ascension, Elixir when conceived as a concept on paper was supposed to be good. We just had no idea that the stars were going to align quite as nicely as they did. The fleece fineness and phenotype of his maternal line combined with the other-worldly density and uniformity he got from his sire are virtually unmatched here at Cas-Cad-Nac Farm. The 2015 AOA National Fleece Show essentially turned into Elixir's official coming out party as a proven Herdsire. He not only won the Champion Light Male and Judges' Choice Huacaya Male himself but more importantly, four of his offspring (CCNF Spittfire, CCNF Dropshot, CCNF Antares, and CCNF True Adoration) won Championship banners as well, leading to a championship sweep of both the Light and White Male color groups. Not too shabby for his first batch of kids. Since that time of course, the Elixir kids have been front and center in our show strings producing among other accolades, back to back Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards in both 2017 and 2018. Of course one of the things we love about our boy, is that he can be bred to both light and dark females with equally exciting outcomes (Elixir is a classic dorsal beige). He continues to throw everything from whites to browns, all extremely bright and fine. If you have any doubts as to the prowess of this world-class Herdsire, you need only spend 10 minutes or so walking down the line of our show pens any spring or fall. The proof is most definitely in the progeny... Elixir stands at stud here at CCNF from July 1st through October 1st before moving back to our partners' farm in Maryland for the fall season. As of July 1st, 2016 CCNF Elixir was closed for all future outside stud service. You can both look for his offspring in our sales listings though as well as a select number of females who are offered for sale already bred to him.

Description

CCNF SENTINEL is owned by Sun Star Alpacas. He is only at Arriba Linea for a short time before heading home to Germany. FROM SUN STAR ALPACAS: We followed Sentinel for a very long time. Even before he was even born, because he also has an excellent full brother, CCNF Leviathan. Leviathan won almost every show in the USA as champion, including the most meaningful, the Futurity. Leviathan was then offered as the top tier at the 2016 Parade of Champions Auction at just 10 months. As expected, he was sold as a high seller and scored a price of $ 51,000! So now back to Sentinel ... through the observation of his full brother knew and we had almost all data about Sentinel, he only had to be born ... On 31.10.2016 it was time. We followed him from his birth and we were always kept up to date by Ian Lutz. From the day he was born he looked spectacular and very promising. At Cas Cad Nac we looked at the father / grandfather and mother / grandmother and many sisters and brothers. One day we also visited his full brother Leviathan at Stillmeadow Farm owned by Pamela Brewster. We took many fiber samples that we could also evaluate on the existing OFDA 2000 gauge. With all the information we had about him before, and then collected on Cas Cad Nac Farm, choosing Sentinel was easy for us. A few weeks after our visit. He also had his first show appearance, first he made in his ring the 1st place and then he was able to obtain from a total of 33 fawn colored animals the color champion under judge Peter Kennedy. In Canada, he was able to get the best possible rankings. So he won first place at the show in Quebec, Color Champion Fawn and then Grand Champion Stallions and also at the show in Ontario he won the first place, Color Champion Fawn and Grand Champion over all stallions.
