February 2024 - Lilly, who has been bred ROCKSTAR's Renegade for a spring cria, will go on maternity leave on March 1st, 2024 Diamond 'Lil is a very special ROCKSTAR. Hailing from the notable genetic powerhouse Hummingherd Alpacas, Lilly (as we call her) has made a dramatic contribution to our herd representing that next generation of highly evolved fleeces we were so yearning for. The daughter of Eastwind's Snowstorm and Xanadu Diamond Dust, we knew we had something special. Lil is a sweetheart to handle and has great conformation, a level topline, and a perfect bite. Her uber-fine, bright white fleece as a yearling was amongst the densest we'd ever had on our farm. Lilly's 2017 cria, ROCKSTAR's Sweet Child of Mine, recently won the 2018 GWAS White Walking Fleece Color Championship! A wonderful surprise to us, but now looking at her skirted fleece I can see all how Lilly contributed to this very advanced blanket. She is so fine, uniform, and BRIGHT it's astonishing and arguably among the best fleece, we've produced on our farm. Sweetie went on to win the white fleece color championship and white walking fleece color championship at the 2018 Gold Country Gathering along with being named Judges Choice in the fleece show. Sweetie possesses those hallmark fleece traits of her dam such as sustained fineness, bright, bright fiber with gorgeous architecture, and long tightly bundled staples. Sweetie would move forward with her breeding career to deliver us a gorgeous male by our super-stud Silver Rose Overture - ROCKSTAR's High Voltage. Volt has enjoyed a marvelous show career earning his 7th banner this spring (2023). The genetics that Lil carries are forwards to her cria are immeasurable as exhibited by her Judges Choice daughter and her 7x banner-winning son.

ROCKSTAR's Sweet Child 'O Mine is the very lovely daughter of our Diamond Lil and Deja Vu's Royal Legacy by Best Man. This pedigree is chock full of some of the greats - Accoyo Elite, Snowmass Best Man and Snowmass Messiah, Peruvian Snowmaster, El Moustachio, Caligula, and Presidio. What's not to love? And we do love her, not only for being one of the top "sweeties" on the farm but her fleece is simply gorgeous - highly organized, bright, superfine, and uniform with great, great density. Sweetie performed well at her first show in 2018 at GWAS. She took a second in her halter class as a juvie and went on to win 1st place in the white walking fleece competition and was awarded the white fleece color championship. At our fall Gold Country show she was awarded 1st place in her halter class, 1st place and color champion in white walking fleece, and 1st place and color champion in the fleece show. Sweetie was also awarded both Judges Choice and best crimp award in the fleece show which was a huge surprise and honor. Sweetie recently delivered another beautiful young male by Silver Rose Overture again. Best way to find a cria - up, dry, nursing and needing no assistance from me 1st thing in the morning. Super mom. Her August 2020 Overture son ROCKSTAR's High Voltage, is OUTSTANDING... super dense, gorgeous architecture to his fleece - soft, fine, handle with good substance of bone, excellent balance, level topline, and perfect bite. We are thrilled he's a male! At Volt's first show in Oct 2021, he won his first banner in the Walking Fleece show (I believe there were 30+ entries in white, and place very respectably next to the Color and Reserve Color champions in his halter class. For now, we plan to keep Sweetie in our foundation "stud female" herd as she represents the next generation of everything fleece we could hope for.
