We were blown away by this little girl's bundled fleece. She has retained her beautiful fleece in her second year and has shown well at her only 2 shows. Very outgoing personality and loves to talk to you. She's a do anything alpaca. Winning reds, blues and all colors in obstacles, showmanship and even costume. With the lines behind this girl we expect she will become an excellent foundation female. We bred her to Velasco de Alta Vista. We think this male was a perfect match for this lovely girl. ** Pia delivered a gorgeous LF male out of Velasco early in October 2015! ** Pia's second cria was a delightful multi out of the award winning sire Hobby Horse of a Different Color ** Since she has thrown color twice, we are trying her with the super dense Multi colored Dorian son Glacier. ** Pia did it again - her 2019 cria is the spitting image of his multi-colored sire. She's 3 for 3 letting the sire's color/pattern come through. ** 6/22 - Pia delivered an extremely healthy girl. White crimpy fiber and growing fast! (2/24) In 20 years of doing this we've never bred an animal and not written down who and when but it appears that we have in this case. Pia is large and growing larger, we see movement in her belly and there is no way any boy is getting close to her so we are predicting a spring baby. 5/31/24 - I was right - Pia delivered a HUGE 22# white female. I have my suspicions as to the daddy, but time will tell!

Luca is the perfect combination of our dense spotted male and a fine fleeced dam. He was bred for spots, but unfortunately didn't end up with enough on his blanket. But he has them on his face, neck and legs. The genetics are there if you want to try for spots. Even if you don't, his fleece is spot on. To say I was thrilled with his 2023 fleece would be an understatement. Is it gray, is it fawn, is it taupe? I guess it's all of those. I'm really happy with not only the quality of it but the color is just mesmerizing. Luca has been 4H trained and is easy to work with. He has also started breeding and we can't wait to see what he produces! Get your breedings to this very intriguing boy now!

Description

We were pretty excited when this little girl came out with spots - just like we ordered. Don't really have any intention of selling her right now, we'd like to see if she can produce more of herself. Dottie just gave us a beautiful spotted male out of XXXtreme Spots. She's a great mom just like we expected. For 2022 we have bred her to our male Swanson. Swanson has some stealth spots and amazing fiber length and fineness. Keeping our fingers crossed for another spotty cria. Spring 2023 - Our Dottie x Swanson cria has arrived. Just like her brother Brutus, her growth is off the charts. Within 3 weeks she doubled in size - and she started out big at 21#. She is graced with (large) brown spots down her neck but we haven't cria tipped her yet to see if she is patterned across the rest of her body. Fingers crossed.
