If anyone is looking for great luster in a black female, then wow, that person will have found it in RKR Hexagon! Hexa is sired by multiple Get of Sire winner Suri Peak's Coal Man and produced by a 3 time banner winner, including the 2006 True Black National Color Championship, Patagonia's Aint Misbehavin. And Hexa has it all! Luster, good fineness, locks, density, and great conformation are all found on this strongly built girl. At age 3 she had a histogram done that came back with an average fiber diameter of 26.4 microns. At age 5 she had the histogram done so that her data could be included in the 2018 EPDs for the first time and her AFD had only increased 1 micron to 27.4. We feel those average fiber diameters are OK for a true black female like Hexagon. Her EPDs can be checked out by clicking on the link. Hexagon had a 15.4 lb. true black male cria sired by Fresh Prince on 6/17/2018. Fresh Prince is a son of SBS Crown Prince. We named him Black Onyx. Onyx has a good phenotype and a nicely locked fleece that displays good luster and fineness. His sire Fresh Prince was the 2012 Nationals Black CC and had a 19.9 micron AFD fleece at the age of 3 with a SD of 4.3 microns. Hexagon's 2nd cria was sired by Comet and was an 18.4 lb. true black female born onf 6/22/2019. She looks like she will be a real nice one. We are planning to breed her to Remington in 2020. Description

Onyx has a great combination of dark colored genetics in his pedigree and a lot of those genetics are exceptional black Suri genetics. These are black Suri genetics not found in a lot of herds. If you breed for black, here is a chance to get a future black herdsire that can be bred to any of your black females and bring diversity to your herd. He is sired by Fresh Prince, the 2012 Nationals Black Color Champion. Fresh Prince was sired by the two time Nationals banner winner SBS Crown Prince. Crown Prince has 15 Get of Sire wins to his name and is a prepotent male that produces champions. Fresh Prince's dam was sired by the outstanding Cantano of Peru. Onyx's dam is RKR Hexagon. She was sired by Suri Peak's Coal Man and Coal Man is known for siring champions as he is a 5 time Get of Sire winner. Hexagon's dam Patagonia's Ain't Misbehavin was the 2006 Nationals Black Female Color Champion. So, Onyx was sired by a Black National Champion and produced by the daughter of a Black National Champion. Onyx definitely has champion black genetics! AND as stated earlier, they are unique. Onyx has great conformation and fits the Suri phenotype extremely well. In addition to that, Onyx has a wonderful fleece. It is fine, nicely locked, and lustrous. His sire Fresh Prince still had grade 1 fleece at the age of 3 years and that is phenomenal for a black Suri male. We believe that is a testament to the SBS Crown Prince genetics found in Fresh Prince because we have another light fawn Crown Prince son that still has grade 1 fleece at the age of 5! These are genetics that maintain fineness as the alpaca ages. Hexagon, his dam, has respectable fleece stats for a black female as she had an AFD of 26.4 at age 3 and an AFD of 27.4 at age 5. Sire and dam together should have produced in Onyx a cria that has a great fineness and good fleece stats overall. He has estimated EPDs and those can be seen by clicking on the link.
