If you're looking for a dark herdsire this may be the one for you. Jaguar's Prince is a very regal looking Male. He has an extreme amount of luster and is very dense. His fleece is very well organized, as well as very fine. His overall phenotype is stunning. He comes by this very naturally as his sire Jaguar was a Color Champion. He was my favorite male cria born here at Miller-McMahan Alpacas during the fall of 2011. He is bound to produce you offspring that will not only win in the show ring, but produce offspring that are very marketable in a very competitive industry today! Stop in and take a look! Here are the results of his skin biopsy from December 2015 noted by Dr. Norm Evans: “BRKRD Jaguar’s Prince” was biopsied as a 4 year old light brown suri male. His ARI# is 32364057. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters that are very uniform in size, shape and placement within his connective tissue. His density is 49.5 follicles SQ MM of skin and his S/P ratio from 25 fiber clusters averages 11.1 to 1. Note on the S/P scan a very high level of gland presence. He grades level 4 of 4 gland structure. This trait was likely passed from his sire and should be passed to his offspring. Also note that 25% of his secondary fiber are round in shape which along with glands relates to increased fiber luster. 100% of his secondary fibers show medullation. One hundred secondary fibers averaged 28.9 microns while 50 primary fibers averaged 35.7 microns. This equates to a micron variation of only 6.8 microns.

She has the desired awesome luster and separation to her glowing white fleece. The histogram that is linked to this page is her dam's. Lianka gave us Hermione and if she hadn't passed away unexpectedly in December 2015, we felt Hermione was going to be a solid producer for us for years to come. Hermione produced Black Beau's Comet and he finished his halter show career with 7 banners. Fall of 2014 Lianka gave us Black Beau's Ariana, a gorgeous fawn girl. Ariana has had her fiber tested at 19.3 microns and has earned top 3 finishes in all the shows in the Fall of 2015. We are going to keep Ariana if no one makes us an offer and we expect her to produce like her half sister Hermione did for us with Black Beau's Comet. Ariana has superb EPDs. Spring of 2016 Lianka produced another great cria, ANDACAL'S Lady Miracle de Beau, a beautiful true black girl. She is a full sister to Ariana and has very good fleece statistics, too. On April 29, 2018 Lianka had a beautiful dark fawn female cria sired by Nebraska Alpaca Company’s BRKRD Jaguar’s Prince. We really like this girl, we like Lianka's fleece improving genetics in our foundation females, and we plan to keep her to be a production female. We had decided to retire Lianka, but she and WLK Remington Steele had different ideas. We got a surprise of a dark fawn or light brown female cria born on 7/21/21. She is showing some grey on her face and extremities. With Remington as her sire, that is no surprise. She has a fleece that is lustrous, fine, and already showing some defined lock structure. We feel she shows a lot of potential and looks really nice.

Description

ANDACAL's Lucina, AKA Lucie, is a combination of fine micron genetics on the bottom of her pedigree put with a bit coarser uniform genetics on the top. Her dam Lianka's genetics start with the grandfathers Sedoso and Huacho. Huacho was bred to a female that was 15 micron at age 3 and that pairing lead to Lianka's dam Lilliann who has a histogram with a 17.4 AFD and a SD of 3.7. All of that is proof that Lianka's great EPDs are no fluke as she is top 2% for AFD, SF, and %>30 in 2017. Lianka is also ranked top 10.43% for SDAFD that same year and top 7.55% for MSL. So, Lucie's dam brings the great fineness to the mix while her sire BRKRD Jaguar's Prince was chosen because his sire USA Peruvian Jaguar is top 1% EPD ranked for FW and because Prince's skin biopsy showed good uniformity as he has only a 6.8 micron spread between the secondary AFD and primary AFD. Although uniformity wasn't a huge weakness in Lianka's EPDs, it was the lowest ranking of those top 4 EPDs and we hoped to improve on it. We feel we have done a good job in regards to Lucie's fleece as it is fine, uniform, densely locked, and lustrous. Lucie has estimated EPDs based upon her genetics and can be seen by clicking on the EPDs link. The genetics found in Lucie's pedigree by pairing Lianka and Jaguar's Prince together is outstanding. There are both outstanding females and males found in that pedigree. The list of herdsires is remarkable and it includes Sedoso, Huacho, Jackpot, Kalvin, MacGyver, Chief Qualchan, Saladin, Psylent Knight, and Fruzane Noir. Besides a good looking fleece, those genetics have lead to a female with a wonderful conformation and great fleece coverage including a very nice Suri head style. There is one unique thing about Lucie and that is there is some grey in her fleece including a very large patch of it in her blanket in the left shoulder area.
