This is the first cria born on our farm in 2009. We picked out his mom, Cimarron Shadow, who was bred to MFI Toledo. Boy did we hit the jackpot. This boy has coverage from his eyes to his toes. Granite has sure grown into a wonderful boy. He has beautiful grey fleece that is very crimpy with good staple length. He has complete coverage from his eyes to his toes. He has the same gorgeous typey head like his dad, Champion Gray MFI Toledo of Whispering Willows in Indiana. Granite After winning Color Champion at 2012 TXOLAN several spinners came over to check him out. Comments were "His fleece is like butter, unbelievably soft". Both his 2011 and 2012 fleeces have sold to spinners. 11-2013 Granite takes his 2nd Reserve Color Champion in fleece at 4 years old. Check Granites 4 yr old histogram. Awesome! Check Equinox's (SOLD) listing and see his histogram. 6-2014. Granites first two cria of the year are a silver grey male and a rosé grey female! 7-21-2014 an appy/grey male. OMG! His 2014 cria are outstanding! 11-2015 Granite takes 2nd in Halter and fleece at Fall Fest. While his daughter, Crimson, takes 1st and Color Champion at 17 months old! 1-2016 Granite's Daughter Crimson took her 2nd Color Champion at The National Western Stock Show 2-12-16 Granite's daughter, Eve, took Color Champion at TXOLAN! 2-27-16 His beautiful daughter Crimson has passed away. 2-25-17 Another Granite daughter with a banner, Phoenix took RC at TXOLAN. she is a full sibling to Crimson. 5-2017 Dancing Elk's Isabella ( a Granite daughter) took 1st place out of 11 in juvie black females at GWAS. An amazing feat! 9-25-2017. This gorgeous male continues to produce beautiful Cria. Not only is this male awesome, the market is not saturated with his genetics. A male of this caliber at this price will bring greatness to your herd. 11-2017 Argenta Granite’s Stainless Steel (SOLD) has Taken 1st and CC in walking fleece at ABR FallFest, while Phoenix took 1st in halter in LRG yearlings. His daughter Mystique took 4th in Halter. TXOLAN 2018 Granite took 2nd in GET OF SIRE and beat whites! Argenta Granite’s Phoenix and Argenta Granite’s Storm Cloud along with WHA Nathan got him this award! May 30th,2018 Even as Grante is about to turn 9 he is still a very handsome fellow. He still has incredible density. He passes on fineness and shine to his crias. He has 4 cria that have banners. And Many have ribbons. Time to get your breedings before his is SOLD.

Description

We didn't know in summer of 2017 when we picked up two girls from Dancing Elk alpacas that we would be back again so soon. When we saw firsthand how they are cared for, recognize the integrity and discernment made in a breeding program, we literally said we want to buy more but needed to sell some first (Imagine that concept) Fortunately it worked out. We just love Isabella's maternal grandmother and we feel so very fortunate this girl was available. Isabella, as beautiful as her name - Beautiful black out of silver grey parents. Information off of Dancing Elk's site her sire, Argenta Granite passes on consistent crimp and long staple length to his multiple, award-winning offspring. To accentuate her beauty, she has extreme presence. Nearly always prances up to the fence with her tail held high to greet visitors. At the Great Western Alpaca Show 2017 she took a 1st in halter out of 11. Then in 2018 she took a 3rd in halter. She then took a 1st place in walking fleece above average scores in density and crimp/character, absence of guard hairs, uniformity. She received maximum score in uniformity of color (big hooray in true black) and 16.5 of 20 fineness/handle (a 19-20 AFD noted) AND a 7.5 of 10 in brightness! We recently decided to not only focus on uniformity of micron but more on brightness along with conformation. If looking at her beautiful head, bright fleece is not enough, "touch" her. We could not stop touching that blanket. Her histogram 21.7 micron with a 4 SD. Nice uniformity especially coming from two grey parents! Her first cria was from a fine, uniform grey Kit Carson son. They gave us a beautiful silver grey girl with a little black bolero jacket pattern. A definite keeper! Next breeding we sent off Isabella to breed to Champion El Dorado's Captain Jack Sparrow, a Blackbeard son. This past year we decided to breed her to Romeo's Raise the Roof before he left for Tennessee. We were hoping they produce a cria early fall but unfortunately she does not appear to be pregnant at this time.
