This is the male that we have been waiting for! Butterscotch has everything that we could have asked for in an appy/harlequin herdsire. His phenotype is perfect - a macho, square build with big bone and a beautiful head. Even at his age, he is covered in fiber from head to toe and still sports a nice, distinct crimp structure. In 2008, over 10 pounds of fiber was shorn off of him. He's a fleece machine! With his ideal conformation and his quality fleece that exemplifies bright luster, extreme density, and exceptional staple length, it is no surprise that he did so well in the show ring. He's a multi blue ribbon winner and achieved his first place recognition in some very competitive shows. The best part? He's passing on his best traits to his offspring! He has already proven his ability to push build, fiber, and SPOTS from both spotted and solid dams.

Elderwood's Grand Susannah

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 35308621DOB: 11/29/201410 yrs
Susannah is our second cria to be born on the farm. She is a rose grey granddaughter of Aussie Rockford who sports a very soft fleece with an amazing staple! She is extremely unique, as she has blue eyes. Her striking appearance definitely makes her a farm favorite for all that visit. Her sire, Our Man Flint, is a full Peruvian blue ribbon winner with Dracula and Matador in his heritage. To date, Flint has sired 7 offspring. He has 5 females to his name including a harlequin, a medium rose grey, and a true black. Her dam, Rockette, is a dark rose grey girl with extremely fine fiber. She has nice confirmation and has produced some beautiful offspring. She is a daughter of Aussie Rockford - a phenomenal grey male that has produced many award winning cria. He's out of the well known PPeruvian Felix and Hannaruh. Her first cria is a dark fawn female. This girl is really dense, with a great personality. We can't wait to see how she turns out!

Description

This little girl is going to be hard to part with! She is always the first to come visit you, and she loves all the extra attention. Wendy West gets her name from her grandsire, My Peruvian Zephyrus. In Greek mythology, Zephyrus was the personification of the West Wind. She's out of our harlequin appaloosa, Mr. Butterscotch, and one of our Aussie Rockford granddaughters, Susannah. Wendy's fleece is soft and dense. She's also compact and square. We think she definitely has the potential to join a foundation herd for spot or grey production. Who knows, she may stay in ours!
