Jasmine is a lovely, white female. She is a big girl, extremely gentle, easy to handle and a real pleasure to have on the farm. Jasmine's fleece is very bright with exceptional staple length and luster. Her blanket weight was ~5+ pounds, at only 10 months of age. Her fleece spun into a beautiful lace weight yarn, and in turn, gorgeous products. Jasmine’s sire is Bel Canto's Bellagio, a stunning, beige, ¾ Peruvian, ½ Accoyo, receiving top awards at prestigious shows such as Futurity, AOBA Nationals, NAAS and MAPACA, among others. Bellagio hails from PRA ACCOYO ARMANDO grandson of Shere Kahn, one of the most noted alpacas in the world. Armando’s fleece kept its character and handle incredibly well in to his 7th year. He was so dense it was nearly impossible to get the scissors in there to take a fiber sample. Jasmine's dam, Skyview Morning Glory, has produced two Champions and five level 5 ribbon winners, including Futurity and AOBA National Shows. All of Glory's offspring, ranging from white to brown, have outstanding density and coverage. Glory, in 2009, earned a 1st at NJAC, 3rd at EAA, 4th at NE Expo and 5th at MAPACA for Produce of Dam. These awards speak very highly of her ability to produce exceptional offspring. Jasmine was bred to 8x champ appaloosa stud, Hobby Horse of a Different Color aka "Spots", and produced a beautiful female appy cria in 2014. She we bred to Spots again for a Fall 2017 cria and has produced once again! This time, a spotted male cria! He's a handsome male with tight, dense curls and will be one to watch. Jasmine will be bred to our blue-ribbon winning appy stud, LuTau, this Fall for a 2018 cria - let's see her do the spots again!

Escher, named after the well-known artist M.C. Escher, is a handsome macho with impressive genetics and extreme appaloosa markings. Escher's fiber is nothing short of luscious with incredible fineness (16.1 as a 3 year old). Combine that fineness with high frequency, high amplitude bundling and you have incredibly nice fiber. Escher's EPDs are quite impressive, including an AFD of -1.498, ranking him 1402 of 21089 in the nation! His sire, 6 Peruvian Ninaya, was hand selected in 1998 by Dr. Julio Sumar, who considered him one of the top males available to be imported from Peru. Ninaya is known for stamping his offspring with his extremely dense fleece, well-defined crimp, and refined hand. Escher's dam, Derwydd Luciano's Luluy, added great staple length and fineness to his overall fiber quality. Escher's grandsire on his dam's side is El R Peruvian Luciano a GREY full Alianza herdsire who has produced many champions. Luluy's dam, Fista, (3/4 Accoyo) has also produced champions. So Escher certainly carries the GENETICS to produce exceptional offspring. If you appreciate the uniqueness of appaloosas and would like to add to or expand your selection, Escher is not one to miss.

Description

Ivy is a beautiful, young female out of multi-champ appy Hobby Horse of a Different Color aka "Spots". When bred to white, Spots will generally produce spots like himself. But, not only does he throw the spots, he also passes on uniformity, brightness, fineness, and an all over wonderful fleece - which he did in the case of Ivy. Ivy has been bred to our blue ribbon winning appaloosa stud, Escher, for a 2018 cria!
