We were very excited to have this guy residing at Alpacas of Windy Hill and even more excited to be able to acquire him for our herdsire line up. Ra, in ancient Egypt was a sun god - He is certainly a ray of sunshine in the pasture. A real show stopper with amazing conformation, presence and loads of fleece. Most of us think he owns the pasture. To back up what is visibly obvious in his appearance, he is a multi-champion that received awards from all over the country. Not just color championship in halter, but judges choice/best in fleece, best hand... An extensive amount of awards that haven't been fully input, so attached is a screen shot in the photos. He has a nice skin biopsy and histogram stats that show he is very consistent as he ages. In fact his 2019 shearing was so impressive it sold right off the bat. Simply stunning with a lovely hand. His crias exhibit great fleece characteristics in a variety of colors and some are recent ribbon winners. We are currently leasing one of his gorgeous female offspring. She is a real beauty, with loads of nice fleece. I wish that she would have been shown. We would be happy to show you a few of his offspring. Besides being pasture stand outs, they have really nice dispositions. If you review his pedigree it traces back to some of the well-known in the alpaca industry. As My Peruvian Black Knight was sired by two Medium Silver Grey, we may try him for grey some day. He was bred to a black female with some grey lineage that we are anxious to see this summer. Since we breed primarily June-Sept if you are interested in having him as a standing stud, as lease or partial ownership, please contact us and we would be happy to discuss. I still can't help myself when I see him and want to sing, Ra Ra ooh la la...

Parisian's fleece has good structure, density, crimp and staple. She took 2nd Place at the 2012 International Alpaca Odyssey in Commercial Halter – Huacaya Female Weanling. She is on the smaller end of the spectrum, has a calm temperament and is an easy keeper. Parisian is a good mom, births easily, and has lots of milk. Parisian brings Snowmass genetics to the table. Her sire is Snowmass Nova’s Galaxy. Galaxy is a compact male with massive head and leg coverage, and solid bone. He has a perfect bite and nice temperament. He’s the perfect package with wonderful bone, density and structure. His baby photos grace the "favorite faces" file of Snowmass Alpacas. His dam, Snowmass Chacasha, a ribbon winner herself, produces ribbon winners – Snowmass Simply Scrumptions Grand Color Champion 2008 IAO. Galaxy’s sire is none-other than Snowmass Nova out of Peruvian Casanova and Snowmass Drambuie’s Kaluha. Nova is one of Snowmass’ original black premier herdsires and is a producer of champions. On September 20, 2014, Parisian had a beautiful fawn girl, Paige, out of ultrafine herdsire, multi champ Londondairy Ra. Paige has fantastic fleece with tons of coverage and an amazing staple. On May 14, 2016, Parisian had a modern dark silver grey boy from our 4x champ silver grey herdsire, Sebastian! In January 2018, Parisian had a beautiful Dark Fawn male, sired by our harlequin grey herdsire, NeverSummer's Billabong! The fleece is fantastic and this boy is stout!

Escher, named after the well-known artist M.C. Escher, is a handsome macho with impressive genetics and extreme appaloosa markings. Escher's fiber is nothing short of luscious with incredible fineness (16.1 as a 3 year old). Combine that fineness with high frequency, high amplitude bundling and you have incredibly nice fiber. Escher's EPDs are quite impressive, including an AFD of -1.498, ranking him 1402 of 21089 in the nation! His sire, 6 Peruvian Ninaya, was hand selected in 1998 by Dr. Julio Sumar, who considered him one of the top males available to be imported from Peru. Ninaya is known for stamping his offspring with his extremely dense fleece, well-defined crimp, and refined hand. Escher's dam, Derwydd Luciano's Luluy, added great staple length and fineness to his overall fiber quality. Escher's grandsire on his dam's side is El R Peruvian Luciano a GREY full Alianza herdsire who has produced many champions. Luluy's dam, Fista, (3/4 Accoyo) has also produced champions. So Escher certainly carries the GENETICS to produce exceptional offspring. If you appreciate the uniqueness of appaloosas and would like to add to or expand your selection, Escher is not one to miss.
