Markdale was born in the morning just as we were leaving to setup for the Markdale Fall Fair, hence the name. Markdale has beautiful black medium crimped fibre with a lovely shine to it. He is fairly dense and very soft. At 6 months old his fibre was already 5" long. Markdale is halter trained and attended several farmers markets this summer. Markdale is now proven. He bred two of our black females that are sisters and both of them produced lovely black males.

We have decided to retire Raven as she is starting to have trouble keeping weight on while nursing her cria. She would be suitable for someone just looking for a couple of companion alpacas and is being sold without a breeding guarantee. Raven is a lovely true black proven female. She has soft fleece with an excellent handle and medium density. Both her dam Makutu and her sire Ravencrests Ebony had fibre under 24 microns at 10 years of age. Raven's fibre at 8 years old was just 21 microns. Raven has a good disposition and is easy to handle. She is a very good mom with lots of milk. All of her crias have doubled their birth weight in one month. Raven had a stunning medium silver grey male cria in 2015, Reese's. He has his sire Valiants beautiful tuxedo grey colouring and Raven's wonderfully soft fine fibre. For her 2017 cria she was bred to Markdale, they produced a true black male - Marven, hoping they pass on his density with her softness.
