In 2014 we purchased 2 juvie Cinders’ daughters from Cinders of Ricochet Ranch, GLR Phoebe and GLR Ongeleigh. These 2 females helped us win the 2015 AOA Classic Breeders cup at the AOA fleece show and Black female Champion at Suri Network fleece show along with multiple halter championships, 7 banners in all. These 2 females brought our black breeding program to a new level of fiber statistics. Calliope possesses TRUE BLACK genetics from both her Sire and Dam as well as their Sires & Dams, which includes: Rastamon, Cousy’s Midnight Rock, Cinders, GLR Ali and Shavano. In 2015 LHSA teamed up with OverHome Alpacas to purchase Calliope’s sire GLR Moab a true black 4-time banner winner and half brother to GLR Phoebe on the dam’s side. In addition to show results, we rely heavily on proven genetics and fleece data as the determining factors in our breeding program.
