[Pending Sale] AutumnSun's Supermassive

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 32596106DOB: 7/5/201212 yrs
This male is rooted to the ground. In his maturity, you cannot see his toes in his tree trunk legs with massive coverage on heavy bones. This frame is extremely solid, well conformed, and easy moving. His crimp is still popping and consistent across his blanket. His micron is moving out as he works in our breeding program but his handle and staple are still great! All this fleece and body 'goodness' is topped with a sweet, calm, just-the-facts-m'am personality that makes him an awesome herdsire.... And, then take a look at the fiber of his offspring! This poor boy didn't get enough love, figuratively and literally, on our farm. Though very nice, we always have so many good males that we keep on our relatively small farm and with our lean towards dark coloration, he often was left off the dance cards of the ladies. We LOVED his boy Superluminal, so we repeated this breeding for another beige-white offspring but this time a GIRL!!! Imagine my excitement. Her name is Vanora and YES I am planning on breeding her to our BLACK herdsires once I get our genotype results to pick the best one. And, then, we can breed her to one of our brown, roan or fawn herdsires. The sky's the limit when you have nice white fiber and will accept any color offspring! We also have him bred to our champion Provenance, who has produced beautifully fine, richly golden fawn offspring albeit males (boo). When they were weanlings, I KNEW they would pair nicely together and desperately wanted to complete that breeding. Now that I have, we have Supermassive available for sale simply because we are moving to all dark and closed farm so he would continue to not have enough work. So, we hope you will consider what he can do for you when paired right, because at this price he is a steal of a deal!

AutumnSun's Navy Rumble

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32653106DOB: 7/9/201410 yrs
This girl has fine, soft fleece with a lovely brightness and small, even crimp style. Her conformation and health has no issues. She is a sweetheart and a great mom! We dry lot (feed mostly hay rather than pasture feed) and so our alpacas get their teeth trimmed as needed annually. Well, we weren't paying attention to Navy and one time a few years back we let her teeth overgrow before we noticed. So, her teeth are bit skewed now to the side but her jaw alignment is good and she was not like this in her youth and developmental years. Navy's sire is the many time champion Sunset Hill's Golden Thunder, who brought to the table awesome crimp, density, uniformity and staple. Navy is the daughter of a DB dam proven to produce black when bred to black; her granddam was also a brown that would produce black and grey when bred right. For her first cria, she was bred to our reserve light champion, Supermassive, to bring that massive bone ("rooted to the ground" was a judge's description at show), very full coverage and bold 'french fry' crimp to the mix. This cria was sold as weanling. She had not had an opportunity to breed again the last couple years to no fault if her own. She was one of our oldest son's girls, but he has moved on and is no longer in the alpaca breeding 'biz' so now she is back into the program. With our multiple champion Black Maelstrom she produced a fantastic roan male that has the look and fiber we are breeding for. This boy is passing through a desire to be grey as he exhibits a number of coin-sized spots on his body including in his blanket. He has since moved to his own farm. After, Navy demonstrated again her desire to produce dark, as her boy by Stradivarius is also a roan. As a nod to his parentage, he is named 'Sea Chanter' the name of the official Navy band. This modern grey / roan male was worthy of his own herd. However, in the interest of fast herd reduction we did include him in a 'pet' male group sold out east. For her 2024 offspring, she made.... another modern rose grey! This one a girl and a robust beauty! We love this girl!

Description

RIMPAC is nice looking boy! He is ready to move into your herdsire row! With a sire named Supermassive and a dam with Navy as her name, then it makes sense that their cria will be named after a massive navy exercise. RIMPAC means "Rim of the Pacific Exercise", which is the world's largest multi-national maritime exercise held every two years.
